Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher
"The book speaks to a segment of the training population that many other works do not, and is a lot of bang for the buck. I recommend it as a fixture in any library. Borrow it if you have to, but buy it if you can."—Aikido Journal

"Illustrated with hundreds of black and white sketches rendered from photographs, this volume is important more than impressive. It summarizes in tips and frequent wrap-up statements what is essential to remember about aikido's philosophy, spiritual roots, inner development, techniques, and even self-defense scenarios, demonstrations, competitions, and seminars. The technical section (Pt. Three) is the strongest and most valuable."—Journal of Asian Martial Arts
