About the Author

Dr. Santanu Ghosh, Professor, Department of Physics, IIT Delhi, has long experience in teaching and research on various materials from bulk to nanoscale, their synthesis, characterization and applications. He investigated many materials like oxides, nitrides, chalcogenides, metals, nanocomposites, carbon nanostructures for miscellaneous applications, which include some renewable energy sources. He also taught a course titled 'Energy materials and devices' to undergraduate, postgraduate students and young researchers. He has authored about 150 research papers, several book chapters, review articles, two books book and one web-based course (under NPTEL).
