    Tough Love, It Works!

I purchased Advanced Spanish Grammar by Marcial Prado after using his beginner book, Practical Spanish Grammar a few years back. Since that time, I¿ve improved my Spanish language considerably, mostly due to practicing with the Learning Spanish Like Crazy CD set and from speaking regularly with native speakers. Advanced Spanish Grammar is definitely a challenge. The entire book is written in Spanish. This might intimidate some, but there¿s no question that presenting the material this way to advanced students is more effective than allowing them to lean on English translations. Prado is very good at pointing out and helping you to correct common mistakes made by non -native speakers. His coverage of vocabulary is also very good, with heavy emphasis on word roots. This vocabulary is contextualized through the use of interactive dialogues in which the reader practices fill in the blank exercises. Prado then closes each chapter with grammar lessons and exercises. I think that Prado is one of the better instructors out there. I¿m very pleased both with this book and my previous purchase.

I recommend this book for learning Spanish c:

I'm home-schooled and I needed to make my own Spanish Course and this was a essential I found to work great for me. I speak fluent Spanish but on the grammar and writing aspects I wasn't so good at that area xD

When I started using this book, I was learning a lot and I still am.

    I recommend this book! :D

Practical Vocabulary, Great Explanations, and Helpful Exercises

I really like the layout of this book, and have already gotten a lot out of it. The vocabulary provided with each section is very useful in real life and I love that they explain when different words are used in different countries.
The grammar explanations are pretty easy to understand and very thorough, something other books seem to lack. They are also accompanied by sufficient exercises and a key to be sure you have a solid grasp of the material.
I would definitely recommend this book!
