Meet the Author

Stanley Krippner is an executive faculty member and a professor of psychology at Saybrook University in San Francisco. Adam J. Rock is a lecturer at the School of Behavioural, Cognitive and Social Sciences at the University of New England, Armidale, NSW, Australia. His primary research interests are in the area of altered states of consciousness, mainly focused on shamanism, the conceptual problem of consciousness, and mediumship. Julie Beischel is co-founder and director of research at the Windbridge Institute for Applied Research in Human Potential in Tucson, Arizona. Consulting and clinical psychologist Harris L. Friedman, a consulting and clinical psychologist, is a retired research professor of psychology from the University of Florida, Gainesville.
Cheryl L. Fracasso is pursuing licensure as a marriage and family therapist and mental health counselor at Antioch University, Seattle, Washington.
