Editorial Reviews

Booknews
Proceedings of a comprehensive program presented at the 1990 AAPM Summer School held at Kansas U., July 1990. The program was designed at the intermediate level rather than as an elementary introduction, and emphasized advances in the clinically significant aspects of radiation oncology physics. It included such subjects as equipment evaluation, calibration and dosimetry protocols, computerized treatment planning, quality assurance, external beam dosimetry and special treatment techniques, and brachytherapy dosimetry and treatment techniques. Special emphasis was given to advances in 3D treatment planning, on-line imaging, and brachytherapy remote afterloaders. No index. Annotation c. Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
