Overview

Tumtum&Nutmeg: The Adventure Begins is the first of three short stories from Tumtum&Nutmeg: Adventures Beyond Nutmouse Hall. Tumtum and Nutmeg lead cozy and quiet lives, secretly looking after Arthur and Lucy, the disheveled human children of Rose Cottage, never dreaming that so many exciting adventures will soon find them. But when evil Aunt Ivy, a squeamish schoolteacher named Miss Short, and pirating pond rats threaten the safety of those they hold dear, the courageous pair will stop at nothing to save the day.

In this thrilling tale of daring and wit, Tumtum and Nutmeg -- along with veteran hero General Marchmouse, Ms. Tiptoe's bouncing ballerina army, and a team of caged gerbils -- prove that small mice can have big hearts.

I am eleven and am immensely enjoying this charming classic. It is probably meant for kids younger than me, but still, Tumtum and Nutmeg kept me entertained. I love it! I especially like that Tumtum is nicknamed Tumtum because he has a rather large one. Big kiss to Emily Bearn! Five hundred trillion stars!!

I am ten years old and if you are looking for a good book, this one is right for you! I love reading their fabulous adventure stories, like for example, The Seaside Surprise. And in The Christmas Adventure, I love how Baron Toymouse throws strawberry cream puffs. It is so good, I bring my nook to school with me and also get up in the morning to read it. And now I am going to tell you a little about A christmas Adventure. In the story, Arthur and Lucy did not get their presents from Father Christmas. What will Tumtum and Nutmeg do? They decide to go to Baron Toymouse, a mean ol mouse. He is very mean to the fellow mice. But in the end, Baron ends up giving Arthur his toy car he has always wanted. And Lucy got her box of magic tricks she has always wanted. I can not write about A Seaside Surprise because I am only on the second chapter of it. But anyways, if you order this book for seven dollars, you definitely will not regret it. If there were trillions more of stars, I would give it a five hundred trillion star rating! And if you think I am lying, I am not. And if you still think I am, read the book and you will find out the truth. You will love this book. And this is my last sentence before I quit typing. Bye now, Fellow Tumtum andNutmeg readers! I reccomend this book to all of you. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!!!!!!!"!!!!!!!"!!!!"
