If you somehow missed this book- read it now! It's a clever peek into the life of an intuitive young woman who just found out she has a year to meet her extraordinary "spiritual do-good" deadlines as a Lightworker while tackling life's ordinary ups and downs such as dating, work and past decisions. This book will surprise you with laugh out loud moments and metaphysical musings, not to mention unraveling a murder mystery too! By the end of the book, you will not only want more, but wish the main character, Faith, was someone you really were friends with. Destined to be an amazing series!!

"Dead End Date" is a joyful mix of Sophie Kinsella's "Shopaholic," mixed with a dash of "I Love Lucy," if Lucy & Ethel solved mysteries. The narrator, Faith, tells the story as though writing a letter to a friend; the tone is warm even as Faith grapples with issues of learning to live in the moment, listening to her heart, and fulfilling her life's purpose to help others in difficult situations. In the case of this book, that difficult situation is the murder of a would-be blind date. The city of Austin is as much a character to the story as the setting, and provides the sunny backdrop for solving the dark crime. The heart of the book, though, revolves around our own struggles to manage and care for all of the relationships in our lives: with our friends, our lovers, and ourselves. Ideal book for a fun beach read!

This is such a cute book! A little bit like Law and Order meets the Ghost Whisperer. I had a VERY hard time putting it down. I read the entire thing in about two days. Despite the fact that it is about a murder, I often found myself giggling out loud while reading as it is sprinkled with humor, particularly regarding the pitfalls of dating. While still maintaining the form of a novel, the author manages to sneak in tips on totally applicable practices such as space-clearing, which do not detract from the fun narrative whatsoever. WARNING: The ending will leave you hanging! I can’t wait for the sequel!

Adventures of A Lightworker: Dead End Date was such a wonderful and easy read. The main characters were well developed and had great senses of humor. The plot grew thicker and thicker, bubbling right up until the last few chapters of the book. The suspense was almost unbearable yet so very exciting! Each chapter was unique, added to the story-line and the conclusion was just magnificent. The underlying story of finding a deep self-love was motivational and inspiring and did not take away from the main plot at all. I would suggest this book to anyone who likes a good mystery!

I enjoyed this book very much. The characters were very real, I felt like this story was about my friends :) It was such a fun mystery to get into. I can't wait for the rest of the series to come out, I am looking forward to see what Faith and Bridget get into next!
