Jesse Kane, an assistant pastor, and his southern-bred wife Jennifer, return to the United States from a successful mission trip to Haiti. They travel to Tennessee to pick up their two children from the home of Jennifer's parents. When they arrive, suspicious signs indicate that someone has been trying to steal their identity. They rush home to find out what is going on. Along the way, they get a disturbing phone call from a neighbor.

Someone has broken into the Kane's million dollar home.

It was not a typical, run-of-the-mill burglary. Most burglars break-in, steal and leave quickly, but these intruders had no intention of leaving. They planned to stay. And stay for a while.

The police can do nothing. The intruders seem to have the law on their side.

Adverse Possession is a Christian suspense novel about a family whose faith is tested when squatters suddenly violate their beloved Virginia home. The effort to reclaim their home exposes them to the hard realities of the legal system in America. It tests their marriage when Jesse stops at nothing to get their home and their lives back, including a risky attempt to uncover a mysterious organization that may be helping the squatters. Their ordeal brings them face-to-face with their sound faith in Christ, which may not be as durable as they thought. Their relationship with their friends and their children are at risk. Meet the Author

Louis N Jones is the author of seven books, including three novels. He has been cultivating his writing talents since he was 5 years old. He was ordained as a minister in 2003 and now serves as the assistant pastor of Christian Conquest Word of God Church in Washington, DC. At his church, he directs several ministries, including the children and youth ministry and the drama ministry. His first novel, Prodigal in the City, was derived from his experiences as the director of an organization that assisted men and women upon release from prison. As an author, he is fulfilling his lifelong dream to provide wholesome information and entertainment to those who desire to live a vibrant and fruitful life in Christ. He resides in Maryland.
