Overview

Aeternum is the story of Lucian Solis, a seemingly ordinary teenager on the verge of his high school graduation. Feeling as though something is missing in his life, Lucian often wonders what it could be and why he feels this void every day. The only three people that really matter to Lucian are his grandfather, who raised him from birth, and his two closest friends he’s known since childhood, Connor and Alina. Following the arrival of a beautiful and mysterious stranger named Etria, an impossible and painful secret is revealed to Lucian. He is not who he thinks he is. He is not from this place. He is not human.

Lucian’s true identity is that of Ryaal, a legendary warrior from an alien race known as the Akirians. After a violent and deadly betrayal by his father and two brothers, his grandfather took him and fled to Earth with the hopes of protecting him and giving him the chance at a life of peace and happiness. Upon their arrival his grandfather, using the knowledge of forms, changed their appearance to better match the humans and Lucian has been living among them, unaware the whole time as to who he really is. After discovering the truth, Lucian must decide to continue living the only life he’s ever known or return to the one he has no memory of in order to seek vengeance on those who’ve taken everything from him, and save that which he loves most.

About the Author

Lawrence A. Votee is a veteran, freelance writer, and self-published author who resides in Niagara Falls, NY. Since he was a young boy, Lawrence was fascinated by the stories he read, in particular the worlds they took him to, and wanted one day to be able to fascinate others with his writing. He began writing poetry in his teens and dabbled in short stories for his own enjoyment. As the years passed and the responsibilities that often follow a misspent youth began to demand his attention, his writing fell to the wayside. It wasn't until after his time in the military that he began to write again and his drive to entertain readers, evolve as a writer, and stand head and shoulders above others in his chosen genre, is second to none.
