All Music Guide - Alex Henderson
When Lisa Stansfield took the R&B world by storm with her melancholy, Barry White-influenced single "All Around the World," it was obvious that not since Teena Marie had a white female singer performed R&B so convincingly. Perfect,Very Well Rounded Album

Lisa Stansfield has a very peaceful, yet strong voice. I love to workout listening to this album. This album uplifts me.It has an R&B Style. Every song is strong, unlike lots of other albums I have heard. Thanks Lisa. Job well done!

A marvelous debut from a talented artist!

This terrific album marked the debut of one of the most talented artists the music industry has ever seen: Lisa Stansfield. This album like her others, features her soulful vocals along with first-rate dance/old school music. Many of her biggest hits can be found here including ''All Around the World'', ''This is the Right Time'', ''You Can't Deny It'' and ''Live Together''. This album is one of Lisa's best, a true artistic accomplishment. Unfortunately this album doesn't get the recognition it deserves, neither does Lisa. She is a true talent that is all too often overlooked. This is a super album that only gets better with subsequent plays.

THis was a great album. It was at the top of the charts but didn't get the recognition it deserves. I loved Lisa. Where is she now?
