For what it is, it isn't bad. Watch for mistakes, however. For example, it lists Jesse Jackson as the first African American to run for president on a major party ticket (1984.) This is not correct; Shirley Chisholm ran as a Democrat in 1972. Didn't make it through the primaries, but she did run. If you need to depend on accuracy rather than looking for a quick general reference that doesn't have to be completely on-target, keep looking.

This is the bible of the African-American timeline from pre-slavery to present. A must-have for any black history class. A++
