    black is beautiful

Atlanta, Georgia- A quick scan study of a wide range of black heroes can be found in Book of Black Heroes From A to Z by Wade Hudson and Valerie Wilson Wesley.
It goes beyond the common names that pop up like Martin Luther King, Jr. and such.
You will discover names that you have heard and did not realize their contributions. Such as Ethel Waters who was a singer. Paul Robeson who was known on the stage and spoke against racism and injustice. Matthew Henson who was a great explorer and set foot on the North Pole.
This children's book is the perfect instrument to teach the next generation about regardless of color and race, anyone can achieve.

    Good Starting point

This book was a good starting point for young children. Just enough information for a young child.
