As a loyal fan who has absolutely loved every Sookie book, when I saw all of the bad reviews for this "book" I scoffed at them, dismissing them as nothing more Than bitter words from.fans unhappy with the last book. I was wrong. It took 15 minutes to read this. For ms. Harris to charge her loyal fans $10 for something that is carelessly written and reads like bad fan fiction is insulting. Expect to find such rich, detailed information on charcters Such as: (Character name) had many more adventures. Or.my favorite: (Character name) contracted gonorrhea I would say this sounds like an 11 year old wrote this but I bet an 11 year old actually would do a better job! It's pretty obvious Ms. Harris can't wait to get away from her Sookie novels, as is evident by the cruel futures she has given many beloved characters in this book. This book is a slap in the face to all her fans.

For this thing to be called a "book" is plain insanity. For something this poorly wrote and put together should have never made it to publishing. Then to charge $10.00 is nothing short of theft. As a loyal follower of the series I was better off not reading the handful of sentences that made up this thing. How can someone read a book in 20 minutes that supposedly took a year to write. As for anyone considering purchasing this, DON'T! As for you Mrs Harris I will never purchase another piece of your work. If that is how you feel you can ride the money train of this series, shame on you. I say we all ban together and demand a refund.

Harris needs to give it up.  The last 4 or 5 books in the Sookie Stackhouse series were increasingly bloody and confused, Sookie lost the southern personality that endeared her to a lot of readers, and there were way too many characters.  The thirteenth books was flat bloody awful and should never have been published.  Don't waste your money on this one.

i wouldnt bother purchasing it. one page per character, with sometimes only two lines per page. 14 pages were just the "chapter titles". I am extremely disapppinted i preordered. if i saw these reviews first, I wouldntve purchased it. So far theyre all right.

I want my money back. This was very poorly written and seemed to be nothing more than a money grab. Many characters from throughout the 13 books were touched upon. However, there was often no background information to remind the reader who the character was and how they fit into the story. Consequently, there were a number of characters that I didn't even remember at all. Some of the "updates" were pretty lame. For instance, one character was said to go on to have many more adventures. I was also surprised as the dismal futures Ms. Harris gave to many of the characters. It would have been better for her to not have written the book at all. I read the entire book in less than an hour. This was NOT worth $10.

Too short. Read cover to cover in under 1 hour. Would have really enjoyed expanded stories about Sookie and Sam's wedding, for example. Disappointed :-(

Like others are saying...total waste of money. Definitely not worth 10 dollars. Total ripoff.

Deserves zero stars for some characters having one sentence on an entire page, Charlaine Harris has duped her fans and I've read all of her series, no more. Don't waste your money!

This is a total waste of time and money. What a disappointment! Shame on me for being fooled -- a refund is in order!

A waste of money. Read in 45 minutes. Very short and no story, just listed names and short view.

I bought this book and was very disappointed.  It isn't a story at all but a quick paragraph of each character and a sugar coated ending. I was unhappy with the final book and thought this was worse.  Sadly charged 10 dollars for something that lasted 30 minutes.  Just like the final installment It seems to me that the author simply wanted to get it through the series and be done.  As a loyal fan of the Series I feel cheated, she could have just put this garbage on her website if she really wanted to give her fans a final look into the characters.  Honestly you should be ashamed you charged  Money for this.

Disappointing end to a great series. I fell in love with this series years ago, but I doubt I'll read another book from Harris. Some major characters only had a sentence or two dedicated to their fate. The book seemed incomplete and felt like not much effort went into it.

Way to short and very disappointing. Waste of money. All it is is a name and a few sentences. Don't waste your money. Not even worth the one star I gave it.
AnnieWAW More than 1 year ago
Disappointing.  Too short and some of the endings continued to break SVM world rules.  These should have been included at the end of DEA in an epilogue.

Reviews were right, book is way to short. Basically a few sentances about people you don't even remember or care to remember. Was nice to read about Sookie & her family, but wasn't worth spending money over. Rent this book from the library if you really want closure.

I loved all her books except the last book and what ever this "book" was. Ms. Harris, you have let your readers down again. I'm thankful I didn't purchase this mini book. Not worth the time and money for more disappointment in this series. Im very sad to have to say this also.

This book was not worth the money ..it is extremely expensive considering how short it is.

I am very disappointed in this book, so much more should have been said about the characters in this book.

I have to admit I have all of the Sookie Stackhouse books, but this is a definite "borrow from the library" selection! I regretted buying this after reading the first character's outcome, seeing that it's only 2 sentences long!!! The descriptions on most of these are so terse and to the point. It also might have been helpful if with each character, we were told which book or books the character was in. There were quite a few obscure folks that had me lost. This book did answer a lot of questions that I had after the series finale, but also created some new one's. Chief among these is will there be a few spinoffs from the series? I would love to hear more from this world. All in all, I would wait to get this book from the library or a friend. I wasted almost $10 on a book that I read in under an hour. (So what if it's 171 pages?! Most pages didnt have but a few lines on it!! And there were quite a few with just pictures!) It will answer your lingering questions, but maybe it will create a few new ones. I kinda feel gypped. Just wait if at all possible

I'm not even sure you can call this a book. I think Charlaine Harris should have stopped writing after book 12. The last book and this one felt like a 'grudge write'. I think she was listening to some old sad country music when she wrote this. The quality of writing was like something I threw together the night before due back in high school. What a dissapointing ending to such a great series!

We saw the book at Barnes and Noble today. $18.00 for about a 30 page, 6 by 6 inch book. We were shocked at author. I feel sorry for anyone who preordered what they probably thought was a real book. This was a ripoff to Nook customers.

I was so disappointed I have read all the sookie stackhouse books ad was looking forward to this book . I wanted more detail about what happened to our favorite characters . Sookie's future only got two pages we have been with her for so long she deserved more and for $10 so did we .
