Meet the Author

Genell Dellin lives with her husband in Oklahoma. Since their son has grown up and gone away to be a QuarterHorse trainer, they share their place with only four-footed family members. The bossy cat named Smokey keeps Genell company while she writes and sometimes offers her advice.

Cherokee Warriors is Genell's second Cherokee series for Avon Books inspired by family stories about her great-grandmother, who was born on the way to Indian Territory from Georgia.

The Captive is the third book of this new series, following The Loner and The Lover.

    Great Story line!

This was a very good story, with a lot of suspense and a slow build on love. Our lead character's just don't hop into bed. When they do , it isn't graphic. I didn't realize until the end, that this was the 3rd book in a series. Barnes and Noble doesn't carry books one or two - RED SKY WARRIOR and SILVER MOON SONG. Not the writer's fault, but BnN. Now I understand why I felt I was missing some back story. It took me awhile to care for Cotannah, but I loved Walks-With-Spirit. This book can stand alone, just know some of the secondary character's have had their stories already told.(ljb)

    I Also Recommend:

After the Thunder- I LOVED IT!!!

Walks-with-Spirits and Cotannah are my favorite characters EVER to grace the pages of a romance novel. Walks-with-Spirits is a "to die for" indian shaman, mysterious in nature in that he speaks with animals, but he is one HOT man! Cotannah is beautiful and spirited and is a tease to men until she meets Walks-with-Spirits. They both need each other desperately. Their story is glorious and the love scenes are tender but explicit. I absolutely loved this book and have read it over and over again. It truly touched my heart!

    Review by okiehunney

For me this book was a waste of money - The characters were juvenile and completely transparent. Most of the descriptive writing was little more than "word count" fluff and the interactive conversation failed to be believable. All in all it is very shallow reading so if thats what you desire in entertainment then this book would suffice.
