Overview

Earth, Wind, Fire -- and passion.

Rockie Wexler's father has created a device that predicts earthquakes. Unfortunately it can also cause them, and now both Dr. Addison Wexler and the TAQ box have disappeared. Gutsy and brilliant Rockie knows she needs help to rescue her father from the bad guys.

Help arrives in the form of Dr. Leslie Sheridan. The hard-edged, self-described pain in the butt turns her world upside down. And Sheridan has his own reasons for hating anyone with the name of Wexler.

A captivating adventure in the tradition of Indiana Jones.

A sequel to THE PATRIOT, also by Lynn Michaels.

Meet the Author

Lynn Michaels started writing in sixth grade when her class formed a writer's club. At the end of the year the other kids quit, but Lynn kept at it. By the time her two sons were in elementary school she had boxes full of stories. Her husband Michael told her, "If you don't do something with this stuff I'm going to make wallpaper out of it."

Lynn's first three category romances were published by Avon. Six more were published by Harlequin Temptation. In between she wrote The Dreaming Pool and two Regencies for Fawcett. Her most recent book is The Cat Before Christmas, a Christmas novella.

In 2003 Lynn received the Reviewer's Choice Award for Best Contemporary Romance from Romantic Times Magazine for Mother of the Bride, her first romantic comedy published by Ballantine. She is also a 3-time finalist for the Romance Writers of America's RITA award.

Otherwise, her life is pretty much like yours. She grocery shops, pumps her own gas, cleans her house and does the laundry. She's a fiend for coupons, collects teapots, thimbles and handmade bookmarks. Her most cherished possession is misspelled writing award.

You can email Lynn through her website.
