This sucks dude! It's so cold out here, and there are these walls of ice that go on forever. If I didn't know any better I'd swear I was at the North Pole. That would explain the local's idea of fashion sense. A guy walked by me an hour or so - grumpy. He was wearing a fur coat, fur pants, even fur shoes. I thought no one wore real furs anymore. He stank, too. He must not have bathed in a week! When I tried to talk with him he got even worse. He just grunted and threatened to hit me with his rock and stick (Ooh, ...

He stank, too. He must not have bathed in a week! When I tried to talk with him he got even worse. He just grunted and threatened to hit me with his rock and stick (Ooh, scary). I didn't even bother telling him he was a few decades behind the times. Wow, is this like Siberia or what?

Meet the Author

I grew up reading heavily about myths, legends, and history from all over the world. Like many kids I got very involved in World War II. More interesting were the Arthurian legends, Greek myths, and when I learned about them, Indian and Chinese mythology. As an historian I was able to put each in context, understand it all from a literary and psychological as well as an historical standpoint. My joy as a writer is to put all those elements together in a story or an arc of stories.
