Overview

The...books represent a broad spectrum of tales...everything from faerie stories and horror to hard science fiction and extrapolation of social trends. Yet despite the many genres and individual authorial voices, the series presents a unified theme of hope, redemption, and human progress.

What People Are Saying

Terry McGarry
This collection of stories leaves you with the feeling of having read a fine novel. It develops through a thematic and narrative arc to a satisfying conclusion -- the complete antithesis of many theme anthologies, which are just a miscellaneous hodgepodge of vaguely related stories. I don't know how the editor managed to build such a coherent whole without giving story assignments -- this was a completely open market during the reading period -- but he did a masterly job. Individually, the stories are well written, often moving, and great fun to read. I loved it!
