Overview

The hunted becomes the hunter...

In the pulse-pounding conclusion to Guy Harrison’s sci-fi action-thriller trilogy, Calvin Newsome and Elena Jimenez have uncovered the Agency of Influence’s secret weapon in its quest to regain—or in this case, ensure that it never loses—its control of the powerful relic, the Arrowhead of the Seminole.

Using the agency’s time machine against itself, Newsome and Jimenez go back to the year 2000 to carry out two objectives meant to ensure a more peaceful civilization and turn the tables on the A of I: protect Calvin’s then-teenaged counterpart and kill Lasse Gantert, the agency’s nefarious executive director obsessed with finding and killing the boy. When Gantert proves to have more power than has been revealed, and in an era in which the Agencies of Influence and Justice are still imbued with the powers of the Arrowhead, Calvin and Elena find the deck stacked against them. Unbeknownst to them, Ronni Lee, motivated by her desire to complete her directive to bring the elder Calvin, and his power, to the Agency of Justice, waits in the shadows for her opportunity to assist the two heroes.

In the present-day, Astrid Krueger, is left to pick up the pieces after the loss of her father and Calvin’s disappearance. Still wishing to appropriately avenge Max Krueger’s murder and reunite with her ex-fiancée, Astrid delves into her past to find the answers and discovers that while everything does happen for a reason, nothing ever is black or white.

Editorial Reviews

Belle Epoque - Emma Hunneyball
This book is a satisfying conclusion to Guy M. Harrison's "Agents of Change" series...This is a neatly executed piece of time-travel fiction, which deftly weaves in the superspies from earlier in the trilogy...The pace is as relentless as that of the previous volumes as the characters neatly move between various crisis points. The plot runs smoothly to a satisfying conclusion which holds some surprises and finishes with an epilogue which is as strong as any other part of the trilogy proper.
