Meet the Author

Tony Cochran lives in Columbus, Ohio, with his lovely wife, Vickie, and an oftentimes demented little female cockatiel named Romeo. He started cartooning after a disjointed career in fine arts that coincided with a fifteen-year blue-collar stint as an auto-body repairman. "Imagine that," he muses.

    Agnes Rocks!

Maybe this book is out of stock because so many people have discovered what a treat it is. Get this for your mother on Mother's Day or even Father's Day. Agnes won't care, she lives with her grandmother.

I love collections of my favorite comics but I've noticed that a lot of others get repetitious and get old. Agnes is different. She is just plain funny. She is a little girl with a big nose, glasses and long pointy toes. Her best friend is named Trout. I thought Trout was a boy for a long time but she's a girl. The two girls make quite a team. Agnes probably gets her wry, sarcastic wit from her grandmother, because all of them can whip out a zinger from out of nowhere.

I love this strip. I don't understand why it isn't in every newspaper in the US and the world. Why aren't there Agnes dolls and movies and TV shows?

I challenge you to read this book and the first one and not laugh out loud. LOL is a reality when you read this.

This is what I read when I'm feeling down. I wish I had Agnes' view of herself and the world. No one can put her down even when she's in the corner or explaining to the principal why her teacher didn't understand her. Well I can't do it justice. You just need to read it and then join in the campaign to make an intelligent, sharply witty and unique character into the spotlight. Agnes, you rock!!!
