About the Author


W. Eric L. Grimson, author of From Images to Surfaces: A Computational Study of the Human Early Vision System (MIT Press 1981) and is an Assistant Professors in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at MIT.


Ramesh S. Patil is an Assistant Professors in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at MIT.

Robert C. Berwick is Professor of Computational Linguistics and Computer Science and Engineering, in the Laboratory for Information and Decision Systems and the Institute for Data, Systems, and Society at MIT and the author of Computational Complexity and Natural Language and The Acquisition of Syntactic Knowledge, both published by the MIT Press.


Michael Brady is Senior Research Scientist at MIT's Artifical Intelligence Laboratory.


John Hollerbach is an Associate Professor in the MIT Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences and the MIT Artificial Intelligence Laboratory.


Tomá s Lozano-Pé rez, is a Professor in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department and Associate Director of the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.


Patrick Henry Winston (1943– 2019) was Ford Professor of Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science at MIT.
