Editorial Reviews

Booknews
Eighteen articles which were first presented at the 2nd European Conference on the Methods and Results of Social and Behavioral Research on AIDS, January, 1998. The papers treat four main areas: the behavioral aspects of living with AIDS, the changes in sexual behavior as it effects transmission rates, user and policy perspectives on illegal drug use, and overview accounts of the spread of AIDS. Some examples of particular discussions include attitudinal factors and adherence to protease inhibitor combination therapy, socio-economic status and HIV prevalence among gay men in Germany, drug risk behavior and HIV infection in European prisons, and the implications of modelling network structures for the spread and prevention of HIV. Distributed by Taylor & Francis. Annotation c. Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
