Meet the Author

Jim Anderson has over thirty years experience in aviation related fire fighting, and served in many capacities, eventually attaining the rank of Battalion Chief. Jim currently works for Osacar Larson & Associates as a Hazardous Materials Team Leader and Instructor. He is also an FAA certified Airport Firefighter and has previously served as a member of the Aviation Safety Section for NFPA

Robert Gill is fire chief of the Pioneer Fire Protection District in California. With over 20 years in the fire service, Chief Gill has proudly served as an Assistant Fire Chief of Operations at McClellan AFB Fire Department, and a Fire Protection Specialist at the U.S Air Force, Beale AFB Fire Department. In 1999, he was awarded the "Hall of Fame" award for his contributions to his department, community and the fire service.

Jeff Hawkins is currently serving as a Fire Chief in the Middle East. He is retired from over 25 years service in the USAF and is nationally certified as Fire Officer IV, Fire Instructor III, Fire Inspector III, Airport Firefighter, and Hazardous Materials Technician.
