Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Susan Hepler
Part of the "Need for Speed" series, this book features some dozen high-speed planes or plane types and details the design, performance and statistics of each. Layout is clear, and a "stat file" section gives dimensions, engine, crew, speed and maximum height flown, which makes for easy comparison among the planes. Additionally, full color close-up pictures of features and a "fact file" (you can scatter radar by making the edges of plane parts jagged) also make this book eminently browsable and an excellent choice for boys who are interested in speed and aeronautics.
