Akwa lives in an island paradise, in her village that worships the Earth and Sea goddesses. She lives in harmony with the deities until one night her father disappears, lost at sea. Hurt and angry, Akwa turns her back on the sea goddess, exposing the village to the rage of a powerful goddess.
