Meet the Author

Walter Reeves has been coaching gardeners throughout the Southeast with his unique advice for more than 30 years. His radio call-in show is heard each Saturday. Reeves appears on the nationally syndicated Ask DIY on the DIY Network, and he appears on Southern Home by Design on Turner South.

Felder Rushing is a hard-core, 10th generation Southern gardener residing in Jackson, Mississippi. His garden has been featured in Garden Design, Southern Living, Horticulture, House and Garden, and the New York Times. Rushing's books include Gardening Southern Style and Passalong Plants (named the best-written garden book nationally in 1994 by the Garden Writers Association), Tough Plants for Southern Gardens and Tough Plants for Nothern Gardens. The author has served as one of six members of Southern Living magazine's garden advisory committee and was recently named as a national director for the prestigious American Horticultural Society.
