Felder Rushing is a hard-core, 10th generation Southern gardener residing in Jackson, Mississippi. His garden has been featured in Garden Design, Southern Living, Horticulture, House and Garden, and the New York Times. Rushing's books include Gardening Southern Style and Passalong Plants (named the best-written garden book nationally in 1994 by the Garden Writers Association), Tough Plants for Southern Gardens and Tough Plants for Nothern Gardens. The author has served as one of six members of Southern Living magazine's garden advisory committee and was recently named as a national director for the prestigious American Horticultural Society.
Jennifer Greer, certified Master Gardener and accomplished journalist, is the garden writer for the Birmingham News. Reporting on gardening, forestry and the environment, Jennifer also writes for Our House, Alabama Magazine, Southern Living, and Oxmoor House, Inc. She has contributed to books on annuals, perennials, herbs and vegetables for the Southern Living Gardening Guides. These and other works have established her as one of the top garden writers in the state. Jennifer and her husband, forester Robert Gandy, live and work on fifteen acres outside of Harpersville, Alabama.
