Overview

Alabaster Box isn't a box-set package devoted to CeCe Winans, but rather her third non-Christmas solo album, and the first for her own Wellspring label. It's a return to her gospel roots, in contrast to the straight-ahead urban soul of Everlasting Love, and it's a triumphant one. Winans sounds invigorated by the spiritual material, delivering committed performances and commanding vocals. The production sounds very contemporary, if a little slick at times, but that's not likely to bother most fans. Alabaster Box is an excellent album from a terrific talent.

CeCe, What a wonderful song. It touched my heart so much. It really ministered to my spirit. It take me back to when Jesus found me. I remember the night, on a Sunday evening Service in Junction City, Kansas when I gave my life to the on it belongs to. Thanks for taking my back again CeCe to my First love. JESUS Stephanie Ball

''Alabaster Box'' is absolutely beautiful. ''He's a Wonder'' lets you know that He's a mighty God. Cece's anointed voice delivered a heartfelt message that seems as if God Himself must had given her.~~Damon Mitchell

Th Alabaster box is the most wonderful gospel cd I have heard in long time. I've had it since the day it hit the stores and it remains to be my favorite. It's a must have!

This CD is one on which you keep rediscovering a new song to fill and heal your spirit. This time it's "Blessed and Broken" (cut number 11) My friends and I cannot figure out what scripture it was taken from.
