I know somepeople have been complaining about the cliffhanger ending. Just so you know there is another Alana Wetherbee book. It is called Spooks and Magic by Jack Sorenson. I think it is the continuation of the first book. You can download it for free in your nook shop.

I loved the characters! And how Alana didnt have any friends at the beginning made her seem normal. It is like Harry Potter but that is why I like reading it. I would definetly recommend this book to anyone who likes magic and love stories.

First, this is clearly a book for teens, not adults. It is not very well written, but has some good ideas. It is rushed with little chatacter and story development. Made for a reader with a short attention span. If more time had been spent on one of the three parts of this story, and had been fleshed out it may have been good. The writer has a long way to go, but has decent ideas, just needs more experiance and some writing classes.

This book was a very strong read! The editing was excellent and the story was so imaginative that I could see it side by side with J.K Rowling's series of Harry Potter. A page turner with real -fleshed out characters and very interesting tale. I love seeing the mind of a writer on the pages, especially when the mind is so imaginative and creative!

When i first got this book, ii thought it was just a book trying to beat hp. But i got it anyway. It was weird because i didn't want to enjoy it but it was addicting. I did get pretty emotional at the end though because you really do feel like they were in real life.I mean i actually felt like it was me standing rigt next to them. It felt like they were actually in love. Not just those teenagers telling everyone that they were soulmtes kind of love. The literally to die for love. It was a very sad ending that i felt could have had more elaboration not just, "those were the last words he heard" THE END

The story is great with a lot of potential. The characters need more time to develop they are too vague. A little more depth about each one would bring them to life a lot more. I think the author has wonderful writing potential, just a few tweaks here and there. Otherwise, I look forward to reading the next installment. To all the cooments that it's terrible, not so. It gets a bit diffucult to keep up from character swap to swap but readable and interesting. To the author: Keep up your hard work and efforts you only will get better the more you do.

Y does everyone say it is a.poorly written book?It is not,it is really good and NOT choppy to me.I may only be on 5th grade but it is a great book for upper elementary and beyond.I do not suggest this book to little kids from 3 rd grade and under.Otherwise it is a wonderful book and you really should get it.It is and advanced to intermediate(whatever that means) reading level so if you are a good reader in 4th grade or up get thos book.I luv how in the beginning she gets picked.on by the school bullies because she is the new girl because that is what really happens in real life but mostly the rest of it is fiction. You will get hooked by the first few pages.

The author has created an excellent story...but needs a strong editor, or at the very least, a beta reader who's a stickler for details. The grammatical errors distracted from the the tale, and structural progression was choppy. Still, the story is a good one. As I am not a writer, I admire those with a creative mind!

It is okay so far. Sometimes I feel that I get kinda lost. It just keeps jumping around and it is really hard to keep up. You find that at one po int your all like " mhmm... ya okay... Alana just...mhmm..." and then the next point your like " wait.... what just happened? How did she get ... wait.. thier not even talking about Alana.... what?" You know what I mean? It's pretty good other wise. It is pretty funny. Well, I am not finished with the book yet, almost, but not yet so it might improve. It is really good other wise! Hope you read it! We all have our different opinoins! Bye!

I absolutly love everything else but the ending! The pots great and so is the character development through out the story. It was amazing for a free book. I definently suggest getting this book if you liked hp. Although, its kinda a copy but, but the author still made it work and different. Id give it 4/5 stars.
