15 years later, it's still great!

I was just re-introduced to this "album" and had forgotten what a talent she is. She's everything about Heart, Pat Benetar or Stevie Nicks that you love. She's earthy, soulful and a whole lot of rock and roll.

Black Velvet May Be Good But Listen To The Rest Of The Album

And I thought she really was a one-hit wonder, boy was I wrong. Every song on this album is great. Alannah has a great rock vocal styling which I don't think many people recognized after "Black Velvet". So if you're looking for something to rock out to this is your album.

    Black Velvet, Indeed..

You get what you pay for, and in this case you get plenty..Soul,hard edged, raw power that is carefully harnessed but turned loose at the same time as to explode in your face at all the right moments..Good looks, great voice, and choice material make this album a must have for anyone's collection.

    Black Velvet

Her voice is like black velvet. That is her best song, no doubt about it. I could listen to that song all day. It does not age with time. It remains a good song. I'm hooked.
