ALCOHOL the Devil's drinkby Phillip Duke Ph.D.

A giant industry satisfies the need for alcohol poisoning. Alcohol is both toxic and addictive, but has been "grand-fathered in" as a socially accepted drink. Alcohol poisoning breaks up families, and driving many drinkers insane, sends them to an early death. Pregnant alcohol drinkers give birth to infants with the terrible defects of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. Drunk driving causes many terrible accidents. Sometimes people are crushed or burned in their cars, and die there; sometimes they survive, horribly maimed for life.
All this is well known, yet alcohol drinking continues. Alcohol is addicting, once firmly in its grasp the addict alcoholic cannot stop drinking, without expert personal help. Production, distribution and sale of alcoholic beverages is quite profitable. The alcohol tax is the Federal government's second largest source of income; it is exceeded only by the income tax.
Alcohol comes from the Devil, our ancient deadly enemy, sworn to destroy us; our degradation and suffering are his pleasure, and his meat and drink are our flesh and blood. The Devil loves the taste of alcohol drinkers.
Alcoholics go to Hell, but first they pass through way stations on the way to Hell, so they get tastes of Hell in advance, while still here. At any stage in the passage to Hell an alcoholic can free him or herself from alcohol's bonds, it is only necessary to choose to do so. Everyone has free will, it is God's gift to us all, and it can be exercised anywhere, at any time.
This book explains what alcohol is, and how it works. Alcohol is the Devil's drink, and by it he draws many to him, and they become his; this book is a warning against alcohol, against becoming a victim of alcohol, and all that being a victim means.
In this world the Devil paints sin as attractive and rewarding; he is the prince of liars. He baits his terrible sharp barbed hooks of alcohol so they seem pleasant, and then he stays out of sight. Once the barbed hooks have been swallowed, he reels his alcohol victims in kicking and screaming, and sends them down to Hell by the boatload.
There is only one way to protect yourself against alcohol, and that is by not drinking it. Once you decide not to drink, the Devil loses all dominion over you; he still wants to destroy you, but is powerless against you. By choosing not to drink, you have chosen wisely and well; you have chosen to be on the side of God, and His angels. Then you will go, not to Hell, but to Heaven.
Choose wisely, choose well! You will be glad you did!
