Meet the Author

Bruce Corbett divides his time between his home on Ile Perrot, just west of Montreal, and his wife's family cottage in scenic Entralac, Quebec. After counselling teenagers and adults for over 40 years, he retired to concentrate on his writing and photography. To date, he has written a collection of Science Fiction short stories, which are now available individually or as a newly-released ebook. Two Science Fiction novels await the final editing. The project closest to his heart, however, is his series of historical novels based on a fictional hero, Ambrose, a Prince of Wessex, set in the time of Alfred the Great. There are now nine novels in the series.

    All 9 in the series

I find that the characters are extremly interesting after reading all nine in the series I Can recommend them. However the writing style is that of Saturday morning serials. The adventurers get into seemingly impossible situations only to be "rescued" at the last moment by a battle plan that has eluded everyone except the greek "Wizard".
I also feel that as I entered each book the author spends entirely too much time recaping the previous novels and giving all the background history . He would be better served if he went on the assumption that readers have followed the storyline up to now and are looking for the next chapter.

    Another outstanding read!

I have read all nine books in this series and each is better than the last.
