Overview

The third edition of Cynthia Young’s Algebra &Trigonometry brings together all the elements that have allowedinstructors and learners to successfully “bridge thegap” between classroom instruction and independent homeworkby overcoming common learning barriers and building confidence instudents’ ability to do mathematics. Written in a clear, single voice that speaks to students and mirrors how instructorscommunicate in lecture, Young’s hallmark pedagogy enablesstudents to become independent, successful learners. Variedexercise types and modeling projects keep the learning fresh andmotivating. In this edition, Young continues her tradition offostering a love for succeeding in mathematics by introducinginquiry-based learning projects, providing learners an opportunityto master the material with more freedom while reinforcingmathematical skills and intuition.

The seamless integration of Cynthia Young’s  Algebra& Trigonometry 3rd edition with WileyPLUS,a research-based, online environment for effective teaching andlearning, continues Young’s vision of building studentconfidence in mathematics because it takes the guesswork out ofstudying by providing them with a clear roadmap: what to do, how todo it, and whether they did it right.
