From Barnes & Noble
The Barnes & Noble Review
Fans of the hit television series Alias can now get a behind-the-scenes look at the show in this official companion. In chapters (labeled "The Dossiers") that will make you feel like an in-the-know expert, author Mark Cotta Vaz provides all the scoop behind characters like double agent Sydney Bristow, the making of the program, the Rambaldi legend, and more. He also explores how the story, set, and costume ideas for the show are created and put into reality, and he delves into how dramatic scenes and spectacular location shots are carried out. Including full-color photos, diagrams, and sketches, the guide also contains episode summaries for the first season, with Episode 22, the last, getting a full report in its own chapter. With more than 200 pages of action-packed information (and even an intro by J. J. Adams, the show's creator and executive producer), this companion packs a double agent–size punch. Matt Warner

sydney bristow everything i want to be

sydney bristow is tough and sweet all at the same time. Jennifer garner portrays her perfectly and this behind the scenes peak is great for ALIAS fans. it comes with a DVD that has interviews and lots of facts about the cast. Jennifer Garner is soooo sweet and pretty that its hard to believe she plays a spy who shoots guns and breaks CIA rules.

    absolutely stellar

Visually stimulating from it's well designed and creative cover to the layout of all of the pages contained within, "Declassified" is both an entertaining and enchanting read about ¿Alias¿, it¿s creators, stars, and it¿s characters. ¿Declassified¿ is comprehensive; offering readers insider information about every nuance of the show¿s first season, including some slight (and intriguing!) spoilers for the second season. There¿s nothing dull or unconvincing about the writing in ¿Declassified¿, as Mark Cotta Vaz provides both a feeling of excitement and discovery as you read each chapter and become more and more captivated with the world of ¿Alias¿. This book is a must have for not only the ¿Alias¿ fan, but also a great gift for friends of ¿Alias fans¿ ¿for there is no fan of ¿Alias¿ who doesn¿t want to spread the news of both the fantastic plot lines and generally excellent creative ability of the writers, actors, and behind-the-scenes staff that make up the best show on prime-time, network television today. No longer can the excuse be made that ¿Alias¿ has a too complicated mythology or the back story is hard to grasp, now readers can learn all the details by further enhancing their enjoyment of the show with insider knowledge and in ¿depth discussion of everything from character dossiers, to story boards, to costumes ¿and that names only a few of the treasures contained within ¿Declassified¿. As a fan of the show, I can¿t contain my excitement in finding ¿Declassified¿ to far exceed my expectations. My admiration for all of the ¿Alias¿ crew has only deepened with reading ¿Declassified¿, my excitement for future seasons of the show amplified, and my desire to introduce more and more people into the exciting world that is ¿Alias¿ more resolute. Buy ¿Declassified¿ today! You won¿t regret it! And don¿t forget to watch ¿Alias¿ ¿abc, Sundays at 9/8 c!

Superb book to own and to keep with you at all times.

This book should be renamed "Alias: The Bible". It is a must-have for all Alias fans. Well-written by Mark Cotta Vaz, the book is filled with behind-the-scenes information about the show, the cast, the episodes, and the crew. The quality of the paper and of the pictures is very high. The DVD available in 100,000 copies, is looking even better than some of the DVD's for major movies. The interviews with each of the cast helps us get to know more about the world of Alias. Superb book to own and to keep with you at all times.

    The Offcial Alias Companion

WOW! This book is just awesome. First of all, I am just obsessed with the show. If you want to catch an episode it is on Sunday, 9pm, on ABC. But anyway, this book is 200 pages of a pure behind the scenes look of the show, ALIAS. The first time I saw the show, I was like Oh My Gosh, how did they pull that off. This book has the information. Bios of all the stars, episode guide for any episodes you might have missed, brainstorming for futurer episodes, and so much more. Then there is the best part, the first 100,000 copies sold include an ALIAS DVD as well, with more behindthe scenes, previews, and more. Roll your computer arrow as fast as you can to "Buy it Now!" and you won't be disappointed. On a scale of 1(worst) to 10(best) this book recives an 11 in my book!

    "Declassified" is ALIAS de-classified!

I drove to the nearest Barnes and Noble bookstore (which wasn¿t even in our home state) on the first day of the ¿Declassified¿ release to pick up a copy of ¿Declassified¿ and ¿Recruited¿. In a bad financial spot, I was forced to spend the remainder of my lunch money on both the books (Needless to say, I had to brown-bag it the rest of the week!) But the drive and the cost were well worth the trouble. I read ¿Declassified¿ from beginning to end in 2 days flat. That was surprising even for myself because I¿m usually a slow reader. But the fast pace wasn¿t my doings; it was because ¿Declassified¿ was such a great success. First of all, I was impressed with the quality of the pictures, sketches, and all around appearance of the book. When they said ¿Declassified¿, they really meant declassified. The stories and thoughts of the writers, costume designers, music composers, prop and set managers, producers, and actors of ALIAS were all presented to the reader like a casual, sit-down conversation. I was so intrigued and shocked to find how much work and effort goes into creating one episode of ALIAS. Besides, there are so many little people that I never thought about that truly bring the world of ALIAS alive. This book explained the background information of the show in detail so now I am in the know all the way. As someone sat down to explain each episode to me, the entire first season all began to click. My brain must have been channeling that information in record time and I was absorbing it like a sponge! It was also very intriguing as a reader and a fan of ALIAS to read about such things such as creating the props, sets, and origin of the show itself. I would be reading along and all of a sudden exclaim aloud,¿So that¿s how they did that!¿ I especially enjoyed the chapter ¿The Last Episode¿. That was my favorite episode and it was awesome that the author (Mark Cotta Vaz) devoted an entire chapter to its creation. I almost felt like I was there on the set when the call for action pierced the silence. What a thrill! And when a reader says they get a thrill from a mere cluster of words on a thick stack of papers bound together, then by golly it must be a great book! ¿Declassified¿ is so good it doesn¿t even need my review. It practically speaks for itself. I¿ve already let my mother and sister borrow it and my friends, some of which are not totally ALIAS fans yet, are waiting to read it next. We¿re all hoping that the second season is also accompanied by a sequel to ¿Declassified¿. All in all, everyone here agrees ¿Declassified¿ is a great book to further enlighten us on the world of ALIAS. Like so many ALIAS fans say,¿And so it ends...¿
