For over thirty trailblazing years, Vincent Furnier (aka Alice Cooper) has rocked and shocked audiences. In many regards, Cooper is the most underrated songwriter/performer in the history of rock. It was Alice, not KISS or countless other ripoff bands, that brought theatrics into rock. In other words, Alice is a true pioneer and still performs today. The Illustrated Collector's Guide to Alice Cooper is an excellent introduction to the rich history of this rock legend. The book give the history of every Alice album from Pretties For You through The Last Temptation (Alice has since recorded two more albums, 2000's criically acclaimed Brutal Planet, and the excellent followup 2001's Dragontown). It gives many of Alice's tourdates, backup musicians, etc. In other words, there are few other places to find more information on Alice Cooper. I highy recommend this book. BTW-Cooper is still not done. He continues to record and tours every year. He is working on a new album, set to be released mid to late 2003.
