This manga based on the Japanese dating game ‘Alice in the Country of Clover’ this side series to ‘Alice in the Country of Hearts’ was a very wonderful read. It reintroduces characters so that reading the previous books isn’t absolutely necessary, and breathes more life into certain characters that weren’t as ‘fleshed-out’ in the original series. I have a personal love of Boris, the Cheshire Cat, however I wouldn’t recommend this manga for everyone. It’s very girly, despite the guns and other weapons, and has A LOT of sexual innuendos. I recommend this for shojo manga fans, fans of the original series and fans of Alice/Cheshire Cat pairings.

The personality of the Cheshire tends to vary from Alice manga, but this one captures both his innocence and bad boy demeanor perfectly. You can definitely see some character development between the two right away. While the romance itself seems pretty quick in this first volume, it is worth the read.
