    Another good volume

I really enjoyed this volume, it's nice to know that the main heroine is getting used to all of the craziness around her. I definitely can't wait until the next volume!

    Review from The Neverending Shelf

Review in 75 Words or Less: Despite the amazing start in Volume 1, Volume 2 fell a little flat for me. There was no real character or plot progression. Yes, Alice finds out a big secret about Wonderland, but that is all the really happens. The male characters are still in love with her, which is actually starting to become quite annoying. And strangely enough, there is not one single mention of "the game." Okay second volume, but not the best.

Final Verdict: I was a little disappointed with this volume. However, I am still intrigued with the series' possibility. I am really hopeful that the Volume 3 will get things back on track. But if it does not, then sadly, this may be one series that I just have to give up on.

    Where is Alice?!

I love this series! I mean, it's an aquired taste, but once you get past the first 7-10 pages it picks up and hooks almost immidently. So much so that you find yourself obsessed with it in a matter of minutes. If your as fan obsessesed as I am you'll even start dreaming of it and believing it to be true. Sad, I know. So why is this manga capturing the intrest of many so quickly? Here's why.
There are about 3 things that relate Heart no Kuni no Alice to Alice in Wonderland, the title, Alice Liddel's name, and the characters, which are hardly at all similar to Lewis Carrol's characters. Such as,the nervous, time obssesed rabbit turns out to have a bishi character and kidnaps her and takes her to Wonderland then forces her mouth to mouth to take place in the War of Wonderland all so she can grow closer to him. In this book, when he threatens to kill Ace, the Red Queens Knight and secret clock assasin for Julius the Clock Master. He's madly in love with Alice Liddel who turns out to also be the opposite of the Alice in Lewis c=Carrol's novel. She's not pretentious and is instead practicaland thinks very lowly of herself. She has always lived in the shadow of her much more perfext older sister. This causes her to be harsh. In this story, Alice becomes accustomed to Heartland. She has gained 1/4 of the liquid that traps her in Wonderland. The more she learns about wonderland, the more liquid she can collect and the faster she can get out of Heartland/ Everyone desires to get closer to her. The Nightmare demon tellsher that everyone in Wonderland will fall in love with her, (even women such as the Queen of Hearts) Secretly, because Alicefeels she is never loved, this is what she desires. In this novel she also learns thay Julius the Clock Master is actually the only clock repairer and his job is to fix clocks which serve as hearts for the citizens of wonderland. The more Alicelearns the more frightened she becomes but with her friends Borris, the punk cheshire cat with a pignent for mischief and the handsom mafia boss Blood the Mad Hatter, Alice feels she will overcome the oddness of Wonderland and return to her old home. It's an excellent series. It's amazing how the author Quinrose recreated Alice in wonderland with surprising new twists and turns. You'll never look at Wonderland the same way after reading this. (In a good way) I LOVE BLOOD (it's so cool how he's the mad hatter, ruggedly handsome, and a mafia boss. unfortuneately, he looks like the one Alice loves. He betrayed her for her older sister, but i thinl everything will work out.)
