Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, who wrote under the pseudonym Lewis Carroll, (1832-1898) was an English author, Deacon, and mathematician. A pioneer of 'literary nonsense,' Carroll is best known for ALICE'S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND and its sequel, THROUGH THE LOOKING-GLASS.
