Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Kristin Harris
Meet the aliens and watch them battle it out. The Galactic Space Port is home to the famous Alien Anarchy Battle Arena. Twenty fold-out 3D models of aliens are included in this book. They come in all shapes and sizes. Some are enormous, snarling beasts bred for battle, other are smart and rely on their brains to take home the trophy. The first alien we meet is Snapper, the Ventruvian Space Crab. Others are just as wild and crazy; Scorch, the evil mastermind, Gobbler the slobbering monster, and Tiddles the cute faced-killer. Each of the twenty aliens comes with a Battle Ability Score card that indicates how it interfaces with the other aliens in battle, (i.e. Strength 3, Speed 9, Intelligence 6 and Anarchy 8). There are rules for two games. One is Alien Anarchy (for 2 to 4 players) and the other is Turbo Challenge. Each requires some readily available supplies that are not included, like a die and a coin. The models are perforated and punch out of the pages. They are rather complex and may require both patience and adult help for some kids. Reviewer: Kristin Harris
