    Easy and Simple!

    All about Hedge Funds is a great book. It's easy and simple to read. The author mentions LTCM a lot, especially on what not to do when managing a hedge fund. Also, the author does't talk about hedge funds per se, but rather the different investment tools, and the daily functions, that hedge fund managers use to make thier clients alot of money. Options, currency, investment banking, brokage houses (front and back), offshore accounts, short selling, leverage, and others. All about Hedge Funds is a great read. There are graphs that help the reader understand key concepts.

    Readable, Comprehensive, and Balanced

    While opinions about hedge funds are plentiful, solid usable information is not. This book fills that gap. Bob does a great job of organizing and presenting his information. The reader is provided with a solid framework early on that allows him/her to process the rest of the book easily. Even the chewy business of portfolio statistics, a basic understanding of which is nescessary, is presented in a very accessable manner. Make no mistake, however, this isn't hedge fund for dummies. This book goes deeper than most, but not off the deep end. I highly recommend it.
