I finished reading Green's All Good Deeds several days ago and usually, I try to write my review within 24 hours so I don't forget anything important.   I had to take a step away from this book.  It was powerful and had a profound affect on my soul.   I doubt that I will ever forget this writing. I have read several of Stacy Green's books but this thriller, was her most masterful to date.  Her characters are flawed and questioning their lives.  Lucy Kendall used to work in child protective services.    She saw and felt it all.   Her mother was definitely lacking in maternal skills and that is perhaps part of why Lucy could not reconcile herself to a job where the children were failed time and time again.  Thus, the change in her life, from government worker to private investigator with a part-time job of taking care of justice on her own...permanently. Pedophiles.   Active pedophiles were who Lucy sought out for her special brand of justice. which brought up questions like, can they be reformed?  And if not, why release them back into society at all?  I thought Green handled her subject matter realistically and her story, although a thriller, flowed smoothly, making sense and touching fibers of my being that I don't care to look at very often.   Two of the main characters had been abused by their parental caretakers at early ages and the question for them was, will I follow in these same footsteps?   The answer was, it is up to you to choose...it's a choice for most of us.   There are those whose brains are wired wrong and they have given in to the urges hidden deep and dark within.  For them, there may be no reformation, no place of redemption and no happily ever after. This was definitely a topic of interest as it rears its ugly head in all levels of society, the rich, the poor, the weak, the strong, no matter your color or race and it's a situation as old as mankinds'  very existence. As horiffying as child sexual abuse is, I think Stacy Green produced a very believable story and touched on so many things on the fringes of the perpetrator and their actions.   An excellent and yet such a sad read for anyone whose life has been affected by abuse.

I loved this book. Female lead who can be slightly compared to the infamous Dexter. I thought it was a great easy, fast read. Just when I thought I had it figured out, there were new twists I didn't see coming. I am looking forward to more in this series! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a female lead or just a different thriller/crime/mystery read.

WOW. This is a book that will suck you in from page one and will not let you go. If you love crime novels, you're going to love this book. What I really liked about this book was the main character. I loved that she was taking justice into her own hands, but when she meets someone else doing the same thing, she can't help but think the person is awful. It's a truly engrossing novel that will keep you up late into the night, flipping the pages.

I have to say, this book was an easy read. It drew me in after the 5th page. Its about a missing school age girl, who was supto be with her friends walking home from school, well, she never showed up at home, and there seems to be some sex offenders living in the area. So as the stoker, a P.I. investigates on a PRO-BONO case. and the tables turn on many areas in this book. Stacy Green did an excelent job with this book. I gave it 4 stars out of 5. I did enjoy the book, however I think it was alot of Thriller in it. But its a good-read for suspense, and sitting on the edge of your seat.,

WOW - this has quite a punch. I am still reeling from the story. It was great BUT powerful. Lots to think about - long and hard. It's truly got a real impact on the reader - but has you going along for the ride from the very first page. This was my first book by this author, but now I want to read all others, while I wait for the next book in this series to be released. Bring it on, please.

So sad but the truth is this evil is out there. Our children are not safe with these predators stalking our precious children. This book is a real eye opener and my heart goes out to families having to deal with this horrible nightmare.

Haven't we all, at some point, thought about eliminating someone who has committed a heinous crime? Lucy Kendall is a private detective who previously worked for a child protective services agency. She is fed up with pedophiles and other abusers escaping punishment for their crimes, so she decides to take matters into her own hands and mete out her own kind of justice. Lucy is a serial killer who kills pedophiles and other abusers. However, she doesn't believe she is like other serial killers; she sees herself as a protector of children who takes out society's trash. Although a sympathetic character, Lucy Kendall is not the most lovable character. As with most of the characters in the book, she is flawed and damaged, but are Lucy's actions 'all good deeds'? "All Good Deeds" by Stacy Green is a great read with twists and turns you will never see coming. I highly recommend this book. Now, on to the second book in this series; "See Them Run". I'm coming, Lucy! :)

It is truly a shame I had this book shelved and unread for such a long time. A rainy day seemed perfect for a mystery, so I thought I'd read a few pages and see if this one would catch my interest. A few pages turned into a reading marathon. The plot pulls you in and doesn't stop building until the last page. The main character Lucy is unstopable in her search for a missing child. Her background, her flaws, and her killer instinct make her a tough, believeable woman ready to do anything to stop a predator. I throughly enjoyed not solving this mystery and will buy the next book as soon as I post my review. Hats off to a writer who knows how to pull you into the story and keep you there. I highly recommend this book. Jp

Great story hooked me right from the beginning I want to read more from this author. This book is not for anyone who can't understand that this stuff happens to our children. I know it's wrong but you just want Lucy to do what she does and cheer her on

Stacy has done it again. Following Lucy Kendall on her voyage of vigilante justice has us falling in love with people we wouldn't normal find ourselves endeared to. A child pedophile who has been released from prison. A self-proclaimed sociopath who knows all her secrets because he's been stalking her. A cop who may or may not follow the letter of the law when a suspect is his brother. Somehow the 'villians' in this story become the he roes and I LOVED it.!

Suck's you in. I could not stop reading. This is not an easy topic to write about and there were times my anger flared . Very well written . And if you have had ANY personal experience in any of the topic s in the story you will appreciate and cheer the heroine . I've already read book 2 and am about to start 3.

This is right up there with Patterson, Evanovich, Johansson and Gardner, just to mention a few. I truly enjoyed this story and sometimes I could actually see Lucy, the other characters and places being described. I've never written a review, not sure I'm doing it right, but I had to try with this Lady. Thank you, Toni

Even with the dark subject of child abuse, this book was very readable. I only found one wrong action in the book and it was the main character taking a picture of an Amish family. She described the father as being angry. If author really understood the Amish, she would know taking pictures of individuals is against their religion, based on not worshipping graven images.
