If someone had reminded Parker James that no dying man ever said, “I wish I had spent more time at work,” the flimsy central conflict of Shalvis’s otherwise excellent seventh Animal Magnetism contemporary romance (after Still the One) would have vanished within a few chapters. Idaho bush pilot Zoe Stone agrees to play host to her brother’s friend Parker. Parker, a federal agent who investigates wildlife trafficking, claims to be on vacation, but his actual intent is to ferret out a dangerous big game smuggler involved with a right-wing militia. Zoe and Parker’s incendiary attraction and their witty, sexy banter are delightful, as are the marvelous scenes involving Zoe’s dog and a couple of kittens that Parker temporarily adopts. Readers will love Zoe’s fierce independence until late in the book, when her behavior turns stubbornly reckless. That’s really a minor complaint, though, compared to Parker’s single-minded focus on his job when the love of a lifetime is blatantly staring him in the face. Agent: Robin Rue, Writers House. (Oct.)

Could not put it down. Had a bit of everything I like in a book. Family, friends, love, suspense, strength, weakness and the cutest mutt, Oreo, big, but a total wuss. Some hilarious dialogue. Sizzling moments. Cooking disasters. Adventurous kittens. Good characters. Great read.

Jill Shalvis delivers another winner in All I Want. Zoe Stone enjoys her job as a pilot for hire in Sunshine, Idaho. Her quite world is turned upside down when her brothers friend Parker James comes to visit for a few weeks. With Parker staying in her home Zoe finds it harder and harder to ignore this handsome flirt. Parker James is supposed to be on vacation but he knows a suspected smuggler is in the area and can’t let this dangerous man out of his mind. He hires Zoe to fly him around to get the lay of the land but this may put Zoe and her family in danger when the smuggler gets wind of the hunt. Spending so much time at home and in the air has Parker and Zoe giving into their amazing attraction. But will Parkers job come between them before they get a chance? All I Want is a Jill Shalvis wonderful read. The chemistry is off the charts and their friends and family help to make the story extra special.

Loved it. Zoe and Parker are great. The book is packed with humor and lots and lots of sparks. I seriously hope this is not the last book in the series. I'd loved to get an update on this couple. Plus I just love Sunshine, it's fabulous.

All I Want is the seventh installment in Jill Shalvis's adult contemporary romance series titled: Animal Magnetism. This is the first novel I have read by Ms. Shalvis and also my first experience with this series. From my understanding (and this reading experience), each book in this series can be read as a standalone novel. This story features romance, a bit of thriller/suspense, mild family drama, and one sweet old dog. As far as romances go, it was OK. I liked the case of mistaken identity, the slow burn of attraction, and the addition of the suspense element, but as a whole, All I Want didn't wow me. I most likely won't be continuing this series but I'm sure established fans will be happy to find another book has been added. If you love reading romance and enjoy finding new-to-you authors, then give this book a try. You never know, it might have your name written all over it! My favorite quote: “He doesn’t seem that nervous to me,” Parker said. Oreo farted audibly. Zoe fanned the air. “See? Nervous.” Parker laughed. “My guess would be he’s eaten some of your cookies.”

I have yet to read a BAD book by Jill Shalvis. She's an excellent writer who mixes in humor and playfulness in all her stories. This one includes a female pilot, Zoe, in a small Idaho town, and Parker, a federal agent of sorts out to catch poachers. There's a big slobbery dog, and two adorable kittens, some danger (that storyline is kind of uneven, like it tries to be romantic suspense at the very end, but the pacing doesn't quite work). And at the beginning it seemed like there were conflicting descriptions of Zoe's hair color. It's a fun, pleasurable, well-written read, with great sexual tension and hot sexytimes, but something like cotton candy, there's not much here that will linger in your memory later on.

One of Jill Shalvis' best!! It's one of those books you enjoy so much you are excited to find out the ending but very sad when it ends. The entire Animal Magnetism series is great but I think this is the best. Zoe is leery of trusting a man after being horribly betrayed in the past, Parker is so into his job he won't let himself become emotionally involved with anyone. Then the two meet and it's lust at first sight which starts turning into more but Zoe and Parker try to fight it. There is lots of humor and great sex scenes. Reading it is a terrific way to spend your time.

A delightful contemporary swoon-worthy romance with cute animals, flirty dialogue, humorous moments, suspense, mystery and steamy scenes! ALL I WANT by Jill Shalvis is a delightful contemporary romance set in small-town Sunshine, Idaho. Even though it is the seventh installment in the author's Animal Magnetism series, I found it to be a very enjoyable read on its own. How has this series escaped me? ALL I WANT is well-written with sexy guys, strong women, cute animals and swoon worthy romance. Suffice it to say that I have added the whole series to my must-read-soon list as this one was deliciously fun! This was the story of pilot-for-hire Zoe Stone and U.S. Fish and Wildlife agent Parker James. I loved both the hero and the heroine. Zoe lives with Oreo, a Bernese Mountain dog she has rescued, in an old home that she's attempting to keep up and renovate. She does not excel at baking, nor at home repairs. As Parker said: “You can work on an airplane but you can’t fix anything here at the house?” Her favorite saying is "I've got this," even when she doesn't. Her positive attitude is how she's survived raising her siblings and making it on her own. She is tenacious with a good heart. Now that her brother and sister have moved on, she'd like to find someone to love too. She's made a list of attributes that the perfect candidate for her affections needs to possess. Parker does not fit her Mr. Right definition. Parker has issues. He was a disappointment to his parents. He has a sister that he dearly loves, but his parents do not approve of his influence with her. He's a workaholic. On the good side, he's awesome to find in your kitchen in the morning.... you'll have to read this book to discover all the reasons why. The way he cares for both wild and tame animals melts my heart. He's very good with home repairs :-) And did I mention that he's HOT? I really appreciated that Shalvis shined the spotlight on two difficult subjects in this story. Neither detracted from, nor overwhelmed the tale, but both are dear to my heart. The villain that Parker was tracking was an international animal poacher and trafficker of ivory, rhino horns and the like. AND Parker's sister and her best friend were both disabled. KUDOS to Shalvis for tackling both issues in such a wonderful way! The audio was excellently narrated by Karen White. She delivered both female and male genuine-sounding voices differentiating between each, so I could always tell who was talking. She even voiced the animals - the silly dog, two cute and playful kittens, and the wacky parrot, Peanut- perfectly. Her performance was well-paced with proper pauses and expression of emotions and feelings. There was nothing that fell short with Karen's rendering and I look forward to listening to more audios she has narrated. I dare you not to love this book! With cute animals, flirty dialogue, humorous moments and steamy scenes, this story is most definitely in my favorites folder. I highly recommend ALL I WANT to anyone who loves animals and enjoys fun contemporary romances with oodles of warm fuzzies. My full review is posted at Reading Between The Wines Book Club. 5 - "No worries, I've got this." Stars! Book seven in Jill Shalvis’ Animal Magnetism series starts off with an erroneous kiss, and builds on that initial contact as the story between Zoe and Parker progresses. It is the first book I have read from this series, and it can absolutely be read as a standalone. I read a lot of books, and I can honestly say that there are only two authors that I know I can go back to time and time again, and pick up any of the many books they have written, read and never come away disappointed. I only discovered this author’s work recently, but I already have the feeling after two books that she is quite likely to become number three on that list. ”With you I’m never hard to get. I’m just hard.” You can tell when reading this book that the characters of Sunshine, Idaho and the couples that the author has created are going to be a group that you are going to be happy revisiting time and time again. Not just romance, this book focuses on Parker’s need to bring to justice the criminal that bought about the death of one of his colleagues. Supposedly on personal leave his arrival in Sunshine, is more than just a coincidence as it is also close to the place that the man he is hunting was last seen. ”Time to fill in some blanks, Mr. Mysterious.” I really liked Zoe and Parker together, their chemistry went from simmer to boil very quickly, and the verbal sparring between them kept me entertained enormously. Add in a dog that barks and farts, two errant kittens and a cast of likeable and relatable characters and this is a really well rounded and easy to get engrossed in romance. ”With you I’m more unsure than I’ve ever been.” Another series I have dipped into late, and cannot wait to settle in and read the preceding books as well as any future releases, there were characters in this book that you can tell have stories to be told, and I look forward to reading them. ARC generously provided via Netgalley, it was my absolute pleasure to provide the above honest review.

I love Jill Shalvis and this book was great. Her books are full of laughter, heart, romance, sizzle and some wonderful characters including the 4 legged kind. Parker and Zoe were great! Supporting characters of Oreo, Bonnie and Clyde were so cute. Amory and Henry were great and a wonderful addition to the story. Can't wait for the next book.

I just love Jill Shalvis, and her Animal Magnetism Series is my favorite out of all the series that she has written, with her Lucky Harbor Series running a close second behind that. All I Want is the 7th book in the Animal Magnetism Series, and while each novel is a companion novel and can be read as a standalone, you are missing a treat if you don't read them in order, especially the first three books in the series. After that, you can mix them up if you like, but the first three really need to be read in order. I couldn't wait to start this one, but yet I wondered how in the world could Shalvis come up with a hot guy that could top and/or even equal Brady Miller or the Connelly brothers, Dell and Adam, who are my favorite hotties in the series. Let me just say, Parker "OMG" James, has earned his spot amongst the hottest of the hotties in my "Jill Shalvis Male Hotties Harem List." All I Want is Zoe, who we've met in the previous novels, and Parker "OMG" James' story. If you are familiar with the series, Zoe is Wyatt and Darcy's sister. If this is the first book in the series that you are reading, this will become apparent, and this book is written in such a way that you won't fill like you are missing something by not reading the prior novels. Zoe is a pilot, and has worked very hard to achieve that goal, incurring a lot of debt along the way. She also lives in the old family home, which could better be labeled "the money pit," but wouldn't have it any other way. Very independent, stubborn, and strong-willed, she is determined to do, fix, and handle everything that needs doing, fixing, and handling herself. She's been burned in the past by the male species, so needless to say, she is reluctant to let one of the critters back in her heart, life, and especially her home, with the exception of her dog Oreo, who barks and farts simultaneously. Her brother Wyatt has asked her to let his best friend Parker stay there for a few weeks while on vacation, and the fact Wyatt asked her, plus she could really use the rent money, has her giving in. A blind date mix-up, a granny dress, and an awkward but really hot kiss gets this story started off with a laugh, a sizzle, and the romance that Jill Shalvis is famous for. (You'll have to read the book to decipher what that all means, but trust me, you'll enjoy it). The chemistry between Zoe and Parker "OMG" James is off the charts. She's wary of getting something started, and he's got a hidden agenda that he hasn't shared yet, the likes of which sets the stage for an element of danger in this story on a level that we haven't seen yet in the previous novels. As these two explore their chemistry, they find that there is a lot more to their relationship than just that as fears, desires, hopes, dreams, haves, have-not's, and what are perceived as never-will-be's come into play. In the process of this, however, there is a lot of funny times and hot romance that balance it all out. The danger escalates, choices are made, and hearts are broken in the process. But nevertheless, in that Jill Shalvis tradition, love finds a way, and it is all oh so very good. All I Want is a wonderful addition to this fantastic series and is definitely one of my favorite novels out of the bunch. Fans of the series, of Jill Shalvis, and of contemporary romance will definitely want to check this one out.

Every time I pick up a book by Jill Shalvis, I know that I'm in for a heartwarming, sweet and sexy treat and ALL I WANT certainly delivered on its promise. Meet Zoe Stone. Ace pilot, very independent, somewhat snarky, a bit bruised by life, the oldest Stone sibling and de facto mother of the brood. Now that her siblings are settled in their relationships, Zoe plans on working on a few things on her list like fixing up the home they inherited from their grandparents, learning to bake and getting back into the dating pool. Then she opens up her door to Parker James and that list gets a re-shuffle. Parker James is on forced vacation after being wounded in the line of duty (who knew that there was so much danger working with the Fish & Wildlife Service?) and he chose Sunshine, Idaho. Lucky for him, his old college buddy Wyatt lives in Sunshine and he'll be sharing the old family home with Wyatt's older sister. Her enthusiastic welcome and the instant chemistry between them are completely unexpected but welcome and for the first time in his life, Parker has found the one person who can distract him from his absolute dedication to his job. Meet Parker James. Investigating agent for the Fish & Wildlife Service and the sexiest man to ever grace Sunshine (sorry, Wyatt!). He's attractive, caring, confident, protective, has a great sense of humor and when it comes to his job, which is his real reason for being in Sunshine, Parker is extremely driven and focused. Two people with reason to shun commitment. Zoe has been played for a fool before and Parker feels that his single-minded devotion to his job means that there is no room in his life for anything or anyone else. But sizzling chemistry like Zoe and Parker share is not something they are used to so, even though there is no future for them, they don't mind enjoying each other in the time they have together. ALL I WANT was such a fun book. The flirting, the witty banter, the verbal foreplay, the humor - it all felt so good! The antics of the animals also added a playful element to the story. What I loved most was the lack of angst. Jill Shalvis always makes me smile, laugh and fall in love with her characters!
