Meet the Author

Hello again. As you know, I'm always up to something new. Just published my latest space opera. "We Are Waiting". My usual bit of fun. Good guys, bad guys, and aliens who could be either or. I still get asked (on Amazon, at least,) for more Craggy. My own fault for starting off a series where the hero is 84 years old! Made 100 by the end of book 6. Will he return? I keep saying no, but...! I have also just added another one to booktracks.com My poems. Not sure if I got the background music quite right. I have 29 books and stories with sounds to them. Books with sounds??? Is that audiobooks? No. So what is this about, Gary? I hear you ask. Well. Imagine ebooks with sound effects. Background music, ambiance, and sound effects like doors slamming, or cars driving off. It could be the next best thing. Some of my little horrors are proving popular on there, such as Character Stains. Think it's a little bit radical? Go check it out. There are some classics on there, such as Sherlock Holmes, etc. It is all FREE at the moment. I have also created 10 audiobooks by narrating my ebooks. Some, like the All Mixed Up series, have several stories in one book. 1 to 4 and 5 to 8. If you would like to "Hear" Detective Senior Morris and the team tell the stories you'll find hyperlinks in the ebooks to take you straight there. Other audiobooks are Last Flight For Craggy. The Amazing Abbey Jones, Starlight Army and many others all at distribly.com. They are in MP4B format, ok for apple and others smart phone devices and free samples are available to try out. A free version of Starlight Army is available for a short time. Hope you like them. Gary

I really enjoyed reading this book. I think a better title is needed. The book deserves so much better. If I had picked this up in a book store, I would not have even bothered to read the dust cover. This movie would make a fantastic weekly tv series!

I enjoyed these stories, some more than others. I also wish they had been longer. ""Ferret" was my favorite character and I would have liked him to be better developed. Will read more by this author.

The eight stories revolve around Detective Constable Fred Ducket (known as Ferret), a computer whiz and his computer "Old Cranky". Each story is apprx. 100 pages with a good story line. Unfortunately the author goes from point A to point C skipping B. Had the characters, crimes, and solutions been fleshed our more fully - these would have been excellant full length novels. A pleasant, quick read with good police banter, if you don't mind the endings coming before you're ready.
