I received a copy of this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review. Plain Jane Lace Bettingfield was utterly embarrassed as a teenager over a letter that was meant for her eyes only. A vengeful cousin decided to hurt her as deeply as one teen girl could. Pierce Hollister is cocky and more than a little arrogant, but the crush he had on his best friend's little sister, well, that was not going to happen. Now, Pierce is back in Cupid and Lace has grown into a knock-out. She claims she's over him, but Pierce is determined to rekindle that old spark. From the very first page, I was rooting for the Plain Jane to get the man of her dreams. My face flushed with embarrassment for poor Lace as she dealt with the high school horror of being made to feel ashamed of her high school crush. But I think I felt even worse for Pierce because he had more issues than most realized. Lori Wilde takes a romance, adds a dash of spice, swirls in a little controversy, then cranks up the heat. I literally read this book in one sitting. I loved it that much.

Lace and Pierce's story is well written and will have you hooked on this series immediately. Both have their hurts and problems but, their hot sexual tension is what steals the show. Great read. 221 pages

I didn't get to read the first book in this new series but this second book in the Cupid, Texas series was a pretty good read. I liked how the beginning just started with such a very humiliating experience for the heroine, Lace, that I totally felt for her and it kept me reading until the very end. The only thing I didn't really like about the book, even though it was totally necessary, were all the latin names of plants and animals. I totally skipped over actually reading it because it's latin but it was so much a part of Lace that it really worked for the book. I personally just didn't like trying to pronounce the words :)

Reviewed by: Crystal B  Book provided by: the publisher for review Review originally posted at Romancing the Book As some of you may know by reading my other reviews, I have a fondness for small town romances. Lori Wilde has created a really cute and fun series about the folks in Cupid, Texas. I have now had the pleasure of reading all three books in this series and I will impatiently be awaiting the next in the series. This is one of those books that incorporates the joys of living in a small town where everyone knows everything with a great romantic story. All Out of Love starts out with heartache and embarrassment for Lace Bettingfield. Something really embarrassing happens to her in high school and the whole town just can’t seem to forget about it, much to Lace’s dismay. I’m not going to tell you what happens, I’ll let you read the story to find that out for yourself. However I will tell you it involves her crush Pierce Hollister. Lace is a sweet young girl with a great love of plants. I loved learning some of the names of the different plants talked about in this book. She returns to her hometown to manage the Cupid Gardens. When Pierce Hollister returns to town things have changed. It’s his turn to get Lace’s attention. I loved how Pierce convenes Lace to go on a date with him. Football start Pierce Hollister thinks he has life under control until he’s injured in the Super Bowl Game, his father comes down with an illness, and life has a change of plans in store for him. I really liked Pierce, he’s just a good guy under all that football fame. I loved reading about Lace and Pierce and watching their romance grow. This was a really sweet story with a lot of things happening around the romance. There was plenty of drama and steamy romance that I had no problem getting totally involved in this book and flying through the pages. If you are like me an can’t get enough of the small town romance series books then I recommend you give Lori Wilde’s series a try.

I am a huge fan of Lori Wilde and she aimed to please in her latest Cupid novel, All Out of Love. The story of Pierce and Lace was comical, sweet and nice and steamy! Their story is very similiar to mine and my husband so I could relate to Lace and the innocent love she had for Pierce for so many years. Pierce is the all-American guy...quarterback verses cowboy that every woman swoons over and dreams about. Wilde also introducted Pierce's brother, Malcolm and Shasta, who works with Lace at Cupid's botanical gardens...I can forsee a steamy romance between these two coming up! I would definitely recommend All Out of Love, its a great read!! A+ for Lori Wilde!!!

A very pleasant introduction to Lori Wilde's writing. I happened upon this book after seeing a link for it on one of the book blogs that I follow. I had never heard of Lori Wilde, nor read any of her books. I loved this story from the get-go. Pierce and Lace have real chemistry, whether they want to or not, and I loved the cast of supporting characters. There were many laugh out loud moments while reading this, and I personally loved the way that Lori made plant references throughout. I look forward to reading more of the 'Cupid, Texas' stories.

This series gets better and better. I enjoyed Lace and Pierce's story.  I was hoping from the prologue that these two characters could make their relationship work.  The book was entertaining from cover to cover.  Looking forward to the next book in this series! Unrequited love.... welcome to Cupid, Texas. I liked the dashing of assumptions regarding jocks & geeky girls. Smart characters who can be, at times, dim.

All Out of Love is book 2 in the Cupid Texas series from Lori Wilde. This book has  a witty, sassy heroine and a sexy, charming quarterback hero who is a cowboy at heart all wrapped up in one enjoyable read.  Lace has come a long way from the fourteen year old girl with a stutter and was humiliated with the letter she wrote to Cupid about her crush landing on the front page of the school paper. She’s an independent, sassy woman who is comfortable with her size fourteen body. Then life is turned upside down when her crush comes home after twelve years. Pierce is down on his luck. He’s come home to heal and help out his sick dad. He’s never had  a problem getting exactly what he wants until he wants Lace. He loves a challenge. He sets out to win Lace over.  The witty banter between Lace and Pierce had me laughing out loud. In the next moment, I was pulled into the emotions and feeling their pain, their love, their heartache. I love when a book does that.   An enjoyable read that I recommend to any reader looking for a great contemporary romance that has you turning the pages to see how Pierce will won Lace’s heart for keeps. I’m looking forward to reading book one, Love at First Sight.  4 Stars = A Great Read Note: I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

All Out of Love – Sporty and Sizzling Hot Can Lace ever win Pierce, the hot and sexy football player’s heart? I loved this Cupid series book because it was just like real life high school crushes, drama, and embarrassment. As an adult Lace can’t live down her embarrassing high school past, everyone in town seems to remember her major crush. When the crush Pierce returns home he finds Lace the once geeky girl a woman who he can’t resist. Pierce is a yummy football jock and cowboy rolled into one. Lace is a plant expert and introverted, Pierce is just the opposite. The two make for steamy reading, and the way Lori Wilde writes about plants (sigh) I never thought could be so sexy.

I have now had the great pleasure of reading all three books in the Cupid, Texas series by Lori Wilde. I took an instant like into this series and I'm falling in love with  it the more I read. I love a small town series romance and I've found another cute little town to visit. I love stories that not only have a wonderful romance story but also involve other family members in the story. All Out of Love did a fine job of satisfying my appetite for this type of story.   I have quickly discovered that I enjoy Ms. Wilde's flow of writing. She has created another fabulous story for Lace Bettingfield & Pierce Hollister that kept me turning the pages very quickly. I like a little drama and some laughter in my books and this book contain both of those fun things.  I loved Lace with her strength of character, her charm, and her wit. I also admired this girl for her ability to have such wonderful success with plants. I don't have the best green thumb in the world so it was fun to read about Lace's gardening abilities. Pierce is the bad boy super star until he is injured. He comes back to his hometown to assist with the family farm and his father's illness. Pierce makes some major decisions while he is home. He's a hot football star with charm & charisma who is use to getting any woman he wants. I loved that he had to chase Lace a little bit and show her that he really isn't the playboy everyone thinks he is.  I have had the pleasure to read all three books in the Cupid, Texas series but I honestly think you could pick up anywhere in the series and not be lost. I would highly recommend reading the whole series though, I have found each one to be a wonderful read.  I was very lucky to receive the book as a gift from the author in exchange for my review. It has been as always with my reviews a great pleasure to share my thoughts with you.

Lori Wilde has started a great series in the town of Cupid, Texas. It is smart and very sexy. You will feel for what Lace went through in high school. And how she overcame the devastation and grown as adult. But has she really outgrown the hurt and can she learn to trust herself again. Pierce is back in Cupid. The hometown boy who made it big...Dallas Cowboys quarterback. How we all love a cocky broken hero. The book was hard to put down to go back to real life. I have read many of Lori's books over the years. Another great job!

Lori Wilde is one of my favorite authors and this is now my favorite of all of her books. I was cracking up over the witty dialogue and absolutely enjoyed watching the characters' relationship develop! Their encounter when Lace has car trouble was so much fun to read. This was a "read it all in one sitting" book for me. In fact, I went back and read several sections over again, because they were that entertaining.  My favorite description of Pierce came on page 63. "The man was a paradox-at once slick and sophisticated but at the same time, down-home country, with a magnetically rugged edge that no amount of urban living could polish." My favorite Pierce moment came on page 308..."He propped his elbows on the table, then cupped his chin in his open palms. "I'm all ears. Read to me, baby."" Holy swoon-worthiness!  If you love to see a smart woman bring a man to his knees, this is definitely a book worth reading. It's going down as one of my Top 5 for 2013 & I know I'll be reading it again!

“Sweet, authentic, and well-written” High school can be disaster, especially in a small town. Everyone knows everyone’s business and it is impossible to keep a secret. In the town of Cupid, old flames and even older legends never die. Bookish Lace Bettingfield found out the hard way just how cruel teenagers could be when the news of her very secret crush on the school’s golden boy, Peirce Hollister, became very public. Years later, Lace returns to Cupid. She is armed with a degree in botany and a massive brick wall around her heart. When it comes to relationships, Lace is in control and is careful to break them off before her heart gets too involved. Though the Peirce Hollister disaster helped shape the woman she became, she is totally and absolutely over him. Or so she thinks. Peirce Hollister returns to Cupid after a Super Bowl injury puts him in the no play zone. Women go out of their way to be near him…all except for one. Lace is the only woman he is interested in, but the brick wall around her heart keeps her on the defense whenever he comes around. Peirce is determined to pull out every play in the book to smash through her defenses and win her over. This book is sweet, authentic, and well-written. Lori Wilde is a master of characterization and country charm. Each character in this book feels real. It’s almost as if they actually exist. You could go to any small Texas town and find people just like this. These characters don’t just have depth. These characters each have very authentic souls with deep emotions and fears.

A Great read Contemporary, Cupid, Texas Pierce Hollister is a football star that has fame and fortune and beautiful women that are willing to do anything for him whether he asks them to or not. Then it all comes crashing down and Pierce goes home to Cupid, Texas and running the family ranch while he tries to figure out just where everything went wrong. There is one thing that is very right though and that is Lace Bettingfield. She is a former plain-Jane that is now a complete knockout. Now if she would just give him a chance. Lace Bettingfield has been in love with her brother’s best friend since high school, Pierce Hollister. As if that isn’t awkward enough Pierce was also the cause of her most humiliating moment when her secret letter declaring her love to him was printed on the front page of the school newspaper for everyone to see. Pierce is still just as sexy and arrogant but sometimes things are never what they seem and Lace is about to find that out especially when it comes to love. This is a very sweet romance that shows what life in a small town can be like, both good and bad. This story is part of a series that makes it fun to visit and revisit Cupid, Texas. The characters will have the story coming to life for readers and will have them enjoying their visits to Cupid with each book that they read. This one also shows how important family and friends are and how when you need them the most they are there for you. This is one story that is a feel good book and will have readers eagerly awaiting the next story in the series.

3.5 stars. All Out of Love was a cute story with likable characters. Overall, I am enjoying this series quite a bit, and love the idea behind it. Reunion stories are fun, and this one is no exception--a lot of entertaining scenes, both from the past and present. Poor Lane, to have her original letter to Cupid exposed the way she did! And Pierce's football injury--very unfortunate. It all makes for some good book drama, though. :) Two things kept this from getting a higher review. One, both the hero and the heroine tended to go back and forth between happiness and despair too quickly and too often--if they had just talked honestly to each other for five minutes, a lot of that particular drama could have been avoided since it was mostly within their heads. Secondly, I'm not completely sure I believe in the feelings Pierce claimed to have felt for Lace back in high school--toned down a bit, sure, but as written they sounded a little bit too good to be realistic.  (Though it could be that like Zoe, I'm just jealous. ;) Still, I can't wait to read more from this series. Zoe's next!) (I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.)

Lori Wilde has another great hit.  I found the book to be a wonderful, dreamy romance book.  It starts out with that one unbelievably embarrassing moment that makes you cringe.  You feel so sorry for Lace and know exactly how she feels.   Her high school crush Pierce is a Dallas Cowboy.  When he comes home to take care of his dad, you can just feel all of the tension.  You hope that they will finally get together.  You want to scream at each of them to just do it!   I would highly recommend this book.  It is such a sweet story.  I didn't want to put it down.

Cupid, Tx is a town built on the lore of a cupid looking cave formation. Little do the residents TRULY believe in the magic. This is a great story of the hometown baseball hero who started believing his own hype and star power comes home to find he wants the one woman who thinks his smooth moves are pathetic. Read as he halls from his pedestal and finds he is meant to be a small town guy with a sassy small town girl by his side. This is a terrific story!
