Overview

Who needs claws when you’ve got a baseball bat? Lauren Evans sure as heck doesn’t.

Human Lauren has a protective streak a mile wide and one immediate goal in life—get her best friend out of an abusive household. If that involves a little bat-based redecorating, so be it. Unfortunately—or fortunately—a certain sexy-as-hell cop breaks up the fight before she has a chance to really get going. Grayslake police officer Van Abrams is too hot for his own good, and his handcuffs make all those wonderful places tingle. Too bad he, you know, arrested her and stuff. But then he becomes overbearing, demanding, and commanding. Suddenly Lauren finds herself in his arms, in his bed, and mated to his werebear butt. What’s up with that?

Werebear Enforcer Van Abrams doesn’t want anything to do with humans. He’s got reasons, and they’re damn good ones. He doesn’t need to explain himself to anyone, especially the curvaceous, luscious, gorgeous, human Lauren. Then, his bear decides Lauren is his mate and Van’s anti-human feelings abandon him. He still hasn’t figured out if that’s a good thing. Of course, when danger rolls in from Boyne Falls and joins with a powerful prick from Grayslake, Van realizes that, human or not, Lauren is his.
Van hopes he can kill their enemies and still make it home for dinner.

Part of the GRAYSLAKE series:
1. No Ifs, Ands, or Bears About It
2. All Roar and No Bite
3. Roaring Up the Wrong Tree
4. Love at First Roar *November 2014*

Meet the Author

Ex-dance teacher, former accountant and erstwhile collectible doll salesperson, New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Celia Kyle now writes paranormal romances for readers who:

1) Like super hunky heroes (they generally get furry)
2) Dig beautiful women (who have a few more curves than the average lady)
3) Love laughing in (and out of) bed.

It goes without saying that there's always a happily-ever-after for her characters, even if there are a few road bumps along the way.

Today she lives in Central Florida and writes full-time with the support of her loving husband and two finicky cats.

    Great

Sequel to No ifs, ands or bears about it. 187 pgs.

Totally worth every penny. Ms. Kyle is a magician of an author. She gets more story in 10 pages than others do in 100. 187 pages doesn't seem like a lot. But there is nothing, and I mean nothing, missing here. Suspense, action, laugh out loud humor, hot hot romance. This book has it all.
You get to catch up with old friends. I totally adore Parker.

I can't think of a single thing to make this book better. I had to remind myself to stop speed reading and slow down because I just had to know what happened next...NOW.

I was sad when I reached the end, not because it was rushed or left loose ends. I just didn't want to leave Ms. Kyle's world. Eagerly awaiting her next book. Don't care what it is, I'm buying it. And I can't wait to go back to Grayslake.

Karma is a bi**h.  After Van gave his brother Ty a hard time about falling for a half breed human/bear the fates said lets give Van a full human mate.  That he meets her during his day job swinging a bat at the Mayor’s head is just the start. Lauren is human and has no idea that were’s exist. She finds out the hard way but despite that finds herself falling for the big tough gruff cop and werebear enforcer.  But she isn’t easy and Van is going to have to work for it.
I love that the author realizes that big werebear guys want a big beautiful woman who won’t break when they love them.  These guys are big as humans and huge as bears they don’t want a dainty flower they might crush.  They want a sturdy girl who can give as good as she gets.

I was not disappointed with this second book in the Grayslake series. I find myself rooting for the human mates as usually humans don't do well in wereanimal stories. The story keeps you interested and reading with the suspense included in the romance. There seems to be many twists and turns included in Ms Kyle's books and I would definitely recommend them if you like a little action with your romance.

Book 2 of the Grayslake Series and I enjoyed it as much as the first one.  I am liking these bears alot. Lauren a sassy but vulnerable human and Van a werebear who really does not like humans at all story.  That is till he meets one very sexy, lovable lady. There is drama and hot loving in this story. What I love about Celia Kyle series is  that she revisits with previous characters. Can't wait for book 3 to come out.
