All the Gods of Eisernon
When they dragged Dao Marik out from under the wreckage of his field hospital, no one knew that the course of the interstellar war between the Federation and the Krail Empire would be irrevocably altered; nor that this man—and the woman for whom he was searching—could save an entire race from oblivion.

About the Author

Darlene Artell Hartman, who writes as “Simon Lang”, began writing seriously in the early 1950’s for The Hour of St. Francis, then the largest private film studio west of the Mississippi. Her PSAs during the Desegregation Crisis were written up in NewsWeek magazine, and her novice film “Victory,” won the Catholic Academy for Communication Arts Professionals “Gabriel” Award, and introduced Jack Nicholson. She went on to write for the original Star Trek, and was on staff, as she says, “for about 20 minutes,” until ill health sidelined her television writing career.

She has published five science-fiction novels: All the Gods of Eisernon and The Elluvon Gift,( Avon Books); and The Trumpets of Tagan, Timeslide and Hopeship,( Ace Books.) Which White Bird Publications is presently republishing. She is presently at work on several screenplays and four separate novel writing projects, as well as two non-fiction books and three blogs.

Three times a year, she teaches an online writing course, “Think Like a Writer,” using her hardcopy course of the same name. Her writing blog, at: http://www.einaijournal.blogger.com/ and http://www.einaijournal.wordpress.com/ offers tips, ideas and in-depth explanations of the writing process to both new and journeyman writers.
