"Truly masterful storytelling" - Goodreads.com

More than a hundred years ago, a king declared that all geniuses, scientists and inventors were abominations, save for those willing to become his Conventioneers. His edict spread like wildfire through the kingdoms, and drove the hunted into the arms of the secret societies, the Tub and the Fare.

Decades later, having taken control of the remains of the crushed Fare, a young Marcus Pieman followed up on rumors of a homeless, teenage Abominator in his city. When the scared Nikolas Klaus looked up at Marcus for the first time, a tremendous bond was forged, but would he truly adopt Marcus’ cause?

A betrayal leads Tee to a showdown with her greatest foe. Who breaks and who lays bleeding in the middle of nowhere?

And Mounira learns the truth about the once great inventor, Christophe Creangle.

About the Author

Adam Dreece has been writing stories since he was a kid, and has spent every night reading to his kids. His love of stories that inspire kids and that resonate with adults has only grown over the years. His series, The Yellow Hoods, is set in an emergent SteamPunk world with elements inspired from classic tales, providing depth for the mature reader and fun adventure for those 12+. The first book in the series, Along Came a Wolf, released in April 2014. The second book is Breadcrumb Trail, and releases in September 2014. Adam's world changed in many ways when he started 15 months of constant horrible abdominal scar pain. Coming out of that, as he started to regain his footing, he was hit with severe asthma out of the blue. Coming back from that, he has been more determined than ever. When his daughter gave him a nudge to finally write The Yellow Hoods, he decided it was time to start building that writing career and start looking forward to the day when he would be able to leave his role as a software architect behind. He spends time with his kids, his wife and helping others with their writing online. He's also a public speaker and mentor. Adam lives in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and is the flagship author of the new publishing company, ADZO Publishing.
