I am so loving Evangeline! Oh My Goodness it keeps getting more and more on the edge of my seat intence! K A Tucker dose such a good job with the twists and turns of this series! Its so rare to fine a 706 page book that is this good. I can't wait to read book 4 ! This series is good in my opinon for all ages it is appropriate for teens but all the characters are adult there is some language but very little. I am middle age and enjoyed it. (I didnt feel like I was reading from the teen section)

The Casual Enchantment Series is three stories along and getting gloomier and gloomier. At this pace it seems as though K.A. Tucker just doesn't want to give Evangeline a happy ending. Evangeline is still denied her desire for a forever with Caden even though she found a way around certain death from the cursed necklace, gifted by the witch-vampire Sofie. Sofie's sister has been unlocked from her frozen state, but no one but Evangeline knows. Julian's big secret puts Evangeline in a tight spot with Caden and Amelie. To top it all off, the witches and Sentinel have taken over Viggo and Mortimer's New York residence, leaving the strong, jolly vampire Bishop broken and without his mate. Allegiance continues Evangeline's story, alternating chapters with Sofie, as their world comes closer to mirroring the demise of Ratheus. Evangeline is no longer the sweet, naive girl I admired from Anathema. She's become a childish liar with a troublesome attitude. She focuses on everything wrong that's happening or might come to happen, which adds to the gloomy tone of the novel. Evangeline is at the center of the plot, but she doesn't handle anything. I'd have much more respect for this new version of Evangeline is she stepped up and actually did something that helped her friends out of their bad situation. All the characters turn to Sofie to work her magic. Sofie's Casual Enchantments are the reason everything has turned out so wrongly in the first place. But of course, it's the fault of the Fates for why her spells don't end up the way they should. I didn't really like the characterization, mostly Evangeline's, and the direction of the plot, since Anathema and Asylum, is not what I expected. I would still recommend Allegiance because Tucker is a very original author. I have yet to see anything similar to the Casual Enchantment series and must give kudos! *eARC provided in exchange for an honest review and blog tour purposes*

I have read each bookm and I can tell you; you are in for a wonderful way to escape the every day lives we live. If you like Vampire and Paranormal books, then this series is just for you. The author did a wonderful job writing the stories and the characters are people you grow to either like or hate. There are quite a few twists and turns in the books, it keeps you on the edge of your seat; wondering what will happen next. I can't wait until the next book comes out.

Enjoyed the story but did not like the whining from the main character about secrets she felt she had to keep became monotonous with the whine!

When we last seen Evangeline all hell had broken loose and now she has a toxic poison flowing through her blood. A poison that at any minute, could possibly kill anyone she touches. Not only that, but she is withholding several secrets from everyone and trying to prepare for a war as which this world has never seen. Kind of puts a damper on the whole "being in love" thing. It felt good stepping back into this world after quite a while away from it. I forgot how enticing it was and how it just sucks you in. It seems that no matter where Evangeline goes, trouble is sure to follow. The girl gets holed up in some of the most far off places and she still manages to bring about drama and problems...for everyone. But it wouldn't be a story if there wasn't drama, right? One of the things I was most looking forward to was Caden. I remembered I loved him throughout the first two. But I am going to admit something. Something horrifyingly shocking. I was a little peeved at him. Gasp! I know! But through the whole first half the boy ticked me off. He knows that his time with Evangeline is limited, yet he still manages to avoid her. It broke my heart. And when a certain twist happens half way through, all of a sudden he wants her again. I do not like this about him. Not one bit. It just didn't sit well with me. I felt really bad for Evangeline. She has no idea what to expect from her life now that she could be turned into a hideous killing machine. No one does. But, to me, she is taking it rather well. With all the secrets she is keeping and the tension that is mounting daily, I would have cracked a long time ago. But not Evangeline, she keeps on trucking along. Brilliant and engaging storyline, this book kept me wondering if Evangeline would make it out of this hell she is forced to live in and had me sitting on the edge of my seat throughout a majority of it. I definitely recommend it and looking forward to ANOMALY, which I started immediately after this one.
