¿A Tomboy and a Sworn Bachelor Find Love¿

Allison¿s mother died when Allison was young. Her Aunt Catherine came to live with them however, she was always demeaning to Allison. Allison never learned how to run a household. She always preferred outside activities. She was 19-years-old¿nearing marriage age. Her father decided to send her away to her mother¿s sister¿s house for the summer in order to learn how to run a household. What was heartbreaking for Allison turned into a blessing. She did learn to run a household, and she found someone who had sworn off love and marriage unless he found someone like his mother¿a tomboy. I could empathize with Allison. Her aunt¿s words cut her down, wounding her confidence. Finally, she realized what she saw as her weaknesses were actually her strengths. Brunstetter never fails to deliver a book worthy of staying up all night to finish. I often wonder if it is her that does the typing or the angels, because she definitely has a God-given talent.

Allison Troyer cannot remember the terrible accident that took her mother when she was just a child. Her father's unmarried aunt comes to live with the family to help raise them, but will not allow Allison in the kitchen because she might mess it up. Allison grows up a tomboy enjoying doing all of the outside things with her brothers. On her 18th birthday her father presents her with a bus ticket to stay with her mother's twin sister for the summer. This trip will completely change her life. I highly recommend this book! It is one of the best that Wanda has written and so touches the heart.
