Meet the Author

I have always loved books, romance and wished that everyone (most especially me) would find their happily ever after. Add in my love of London, England set in a period when ladies strived to be genteel and dresses could barely fit through doors, and it was obvious I could write nothing but historical romances. As the mother of one too bright and mischievous young boy, I pull full-time duty on all fronts. When I'm not working at my techy-type job, mothering, writing or reading, I'm probably sleeping and dreaming of a time when I'll have time for my favorite hobbies: knitting, crocheting and sewing.I'm currently being represented by the wonderful Kevan Lyon at Marsal & Lyon Literary Agency.

    Good for a Novella

I generally don't like novellas because I find them rushed. Authors often use the same structure of story arcs that they use for full length novels and it doesn't seem to fit right and offer the depth that a better structured short story would. That said, this is a good novella. Kendall dragged me into the story despite my general reluctance and even though this is nowhere near as well written as her other works.

I am realllllllly looking forward to the next book. There is a lengthy except included at the end of this novella and I am riveted-it will likely be her best book yet. It is not due to come out until this fall according to her website, but hopefully by "Fall" she means September and not November.

    My Word!

This was hot! I adored this novella. The hero and heroine are not in the first two books but many characters from the first 2 books show up in this one.

I thought I knew exactly how the plot was going to unfold and I was wrong, which is a good thing. Loved the chemistry between the Derek and Elizabeth and the author definitely wants to pull you into the story after this one, which will feature Alex and Charlotte. She does a great job there because she includes a real cliffhanger of a teaser for An Heir of Deception. I personally canNOT wait for that book.

Hot and Steamy - Found a new must buy author

While this wasn't a erotic romance, it was very hot. I loved the sexual tension between the hero and heroine and the ending. I was relieved that it wasn't one of those 50 page novellas, but much longer. Great excerpt of the next full-length book in the series. Oooooh, I can't wait for An Heir of Deception. But while I'm waiting, I'll go back and read the first two books in the series. The excerpt for both look to be very good reads. D.A.

All's Fair in Love and Seduction by Beverley Kendall The Elusive

All's Fair in Love and Seduction by Beverley Kendall
The Elusive Lords Series Book 2.5
Lord Derek Creswell is bitter towards a family that tried to trick his brother into a marriage 6 years ago. When he sees the beautiful Elizabeth Smith, he does not realize that she is a younger sister to the chit who caused such trouble with his brother Henry. And by the time he finds out who she really is...his heart wishes it weren't true.

Elizabeth finds that Lord Creswell is even more handsome than she thought when she was fifteen. When he kisses her in the garden at a party she could almost feel like a wanton. Too bad the biggest talk of the town has caught her in the act...thankfully the woman don't know who she was with. But her cousin aims to see Derek married to her. Elizabeth knows she has to tell him the truth of who her family is but as in all good tales...the time never seem right and they always find out the wrong way. It seems while her heart softens towards Derek, his heart hardens toward hers.

This is a free ebook and is part of a series. The characters from the earlier books are present through out this one and the book after. If you enjoy a good Regency series, this is a well written book and from the sample chapters at the end of this book...the others look well worth the read. Book 1: Sinful Surrender, Book 2: A Taste of Desire, Book 2.5 All's Fair in Love and Seduction and Book 4: Heir of Deception.
    **Some sensual situations.

    Fun and Hot!

All¿s Fair In Love abd Seduction

I have never before read Beverly Kendall, and I saw several of the bloggers that I follow talking about, and highly praising, All's Fair In Love and Seduction. Me being me, and always on the search for a great new read, I took their advice and invested in this book. Let me say, wow!
This novella was a fun read. I did not want to put it down; I wanted to see what was going to happen next. Derek and Elisabeth have a good chemistry that explodes into hot desires. Dialogue that keeps you smiling throughout, Ms. Kendall takes you into the story with ease. If you are looking for a short story to enjoy, I recommend All's Fair In Love And Seduction.

Loved this 3rd book of the Elusive Lords series - must be read in order to understand the relationships of the main and secondary character's. Glad it was only $.99 for 227 pages, the rest of the book are pages of Alex and Charlotte's story. Loved the tug and pull between the character's. Well, worth your time and money. The love scenes are mild and appropriately placed.

    Ehhh

This book had promise, but it just wasnt that good in my opinion. This author could of made this book so much better. It seemed rushed and that made the story lack.
