Meet the Author

Mary Eason grew up in a small Texas town famous for, well not much of anything, really.Being the baby of the family and quite a bit younger than her brothers and sisters, mary had plenty of time to entertain herself. Making up stories seem to come natural to her.

As a pre-teen, mary discovered romance novels and knew instinctively that was what she wanted to do with her over-active imagination.

She wrote her first novel as a teen, (it's tucked away somewhere never to see the light of day), but never really pursued her writing career seriously until a few years later, when she wrote her first romantc comedy and was hooked.

Today, Mary still lives in Texas, and still writes about romance. In fact, she can't think of anything else she'd rather do.

    Poignant Story

    Almost Home is an understated yet powerful story about love, faith and forgiveness. It is also a wonderful romance as Kellie and her husband Davis rediscover the love they once shared.

    Kellie Masterson's return from Denver to Jackson, Texas is full of surprises which mainly center on her husband Davis Jackson. First on the list? Davis is still in town. Second on the list? He never signed the divorce papers. But the biggest surprise of all turns out to be Davis. He is not the same man she left behind, and before long, she realizes the love she felt for him is stronger than ever.

    Davis Jackson hit rock bottom soon after Kellie left him and their small Texas town. His newfound faith in God has brought Davis a measure of peace and comfort as he works through the demons of his past. He views Kellie's return as the opportunity to clear up past misunderstanding and clear the way to their reconciliation.

    Another character who bears mentioning is Kellie's grandmother Evelyn. Although she is with them only in spirit, her strong and abiding belief in God shines through as Davis and Kellie reminisce about events from their shared past. Evelyn's faith in Kellie and Davis, both as individuals and as a couple, never wavered and provides them additional strength as they face their problems head on.

    With Almost Home, Mary Eason delivers many beautiful and subtle messages that are easily forgotten in busy day to day life. Davis and Kellie are truly delightful characters whose personal growth and maturity provide a strong foundation as they rebuild their marriage. While their romance is often bittersweet, it is also incredibly moving and often tugs at the heartstrings. If you are looking for a sweet inspirational romance, you should not miss this poignant story.
